SOURCE: The front brake on our 2006 Suzuki C50 seems to be rubbing the front tire in one place. It's not enough to slow the tire, but when we put it on jack and turn front wheel, we can hear it rubbing. Is

disc/rotor is warped in one spot, doesn't sound extreme...if it's buggin' you have it turned at a motorcycle shop, otherwise just ride my friend, it's not dangerous....Tim

SOURCE: 2007 Victory Hammer

G'day, from what I can see from pics, your hammer should be disc brake rear. This means there's usually no need to remove the wheel. If you have a close look at it you should be able to see how the pads are removed. Some pads are held in by pins or bolts that pass through holes in the pad to hold it in, others are held in by the caliper itself & you'll need to remove it to change pads. You'll need to sqeeze the pistons back into the caliper if you're putting new thicker pads in. You can use a G clamp & old pad to do this, just keep an eye on the fluid res.hope this helps :)

Front forks on a 1987 Honda Goldwing motorcycle how to change them

Place bike on center stand.
Jack the front of the bike to raise the front wheel off the ground. Be careful!!!
Remove the front wheel.
Remove the front fender and cross brace.
Disconnect the brake calipers from the forks.
Remove the air connections from the fork tops.
Loosen the fork leg clamp bolts on the triple tree.
Slide each leg out of the bike. Twisting while pulling often helps.
This can also be done without removing the front wheel but you will have to elevate the front of the bike another foot or so - just disconnect the air fittings and brake calipers, loosen the clamp bolts and drop the whole front assembly.

Remove motorcycle fork

Put the bike on a stand to elevate the front end. Remove wheel, brake caliper, fender and anything else attached to the fork. Loosen the triple tree bolts. You may need to pry a bit with a flat screwdriver in the gaps of the triple trees where the bolts were while pulling down on fork to remove it. They fit tight. Hope this helps.

How to fix abs on front brake for 2010 road king?

If you got any magnetism near the left side wheel bearing you will have destroyed its sensing/signalling ability. The magnetic pickup should only go back on one way in one position but check that it is located near the sensing wheel bearing. When it goes on it should be rotated up If the wheel somehow got mixed up and on backwards the magnetic bearing would be on the wrong side, away from the pickup. Check your wiring for damage.

Never pull the wheel speed sensor cable taut or use it to support any other parts.
Install the wheel speed sensor with the index pin on the out-board side or the sensor will be damaged. After the axle is installed rotate the front wheel speed sensor until the index pin makes contact with the shoulder on the fork slider and then route the wheel speed sensor cable up to the lower fork bracket along with the brake hose.

If installing a new sensor on a Road King and other Fork mounted fairing models turn the front wheel to the right fork stop and then feed the connector up through the opening in the front of the lower fork bracket and connect it to the socket housing.

If installing a new sensor on a frame mounted fairing model first turn the front wheel to the right fork stop and then connect the front wheel speed sensor connector and feed the connector under the main wiring harness conduit into the left side of the fairing bracket.

In all cases secure the sensor cable and fender tip lamp wires using
three cable straps as follows by capturing the front wheel
speed sensor cable and brake hose at the brake hose lower crimp and then about the middle of the way between the upper and lower brake hose crimps and securing both the wheel speed sensor cable and the brake hose along with the front fender tip lamp wires, if is has a fender tip lamp. THEN about 2.5 in. (63.5 mm) below the brake hose upper crimp secure the front wheel speed sensor cable, the brake hose and again, if there is a fender tip lamp, the front fender tip lamp wires. The I insert the front wheel speed sensor cable in the clip by pushing on the lip at the rear of the clip to disengage it from the bracket, rotate the tab stamped ABS rearward until the clip is perpendicular to the bracket and install the cable and then rotate the tab forward and apply pressure until the lip engages and then gently pull the cable to verify that the clip is installed properly.

How to replace front brake pads on a How to replace front brake pads on a 2000 Chevy S10 4WD pickup?

First you want to remove brake fluid from brake resovoir, raise front wheels off ground and set park brake or block rear wheels. Remove front wheels, keep steering wheel unlocked so you can turn rotors side to side. Loosen bolts that hold caliper end gently pry caliper free from rotor, remove caliper and remove pads, use bungy cord to hang caliper away from rotor, have rotors measured to see if they are thick enough to have machined, replace if out of specs. Match up pads with old ones, use anti- squeak red liquid and put layer on back of pads, let dry. Use tool to put pistons back into calipers, slowly put pistons back into bore while opening up bleeder screw so ABS won't be damaged. After rotors resurfaced, wash with rubbing alchohal to remove any oils from hands, install rotors and reverse putting pads back onto caliper and reinstall, torque caliper bolts to factory specs and tighten bleeder screws. Install wheels, torque lug nuts to factory specs and replace brake fluid in resovoir. Lower car carefully to ground and press brake peddle without pumping it. Any air in system should bleed out, if not get someone to help with bleeding system. Road test to ensure no squeaks or pulling, burn brakes in slowly.

Is it possible to remove the front wheel on a 1970 FLH without removing the fender

Hi Anonymous, ya I know it can be a pain, here is how I do it: let all air out of the tire, unbolt the wheel from the drum, get some one to hold the brake lever tight and wiggle the wheel off the drum. Leave the drum and backing plate attached to the fork leg, piece a cake lol Good luck

I have a 2005 suzuki gsxr 750 my front brake line got trapped under the front fender and lock the brakes up.why did this happen?

The only thing I can think of it was installed wrong the last time the pads were replaced. If it
is in position and everything is tight, there is know way that could happen . So I would get your
manual and or find the layout design for your brake line and put it back in the right way.
