Where is the Red Line for it? If you pass the Red LIne, it is supposed to cut on some models.

SOURCE: motor cuts out when gear engaged

Make sure you have your stand up before you put it in gear. Some bikes have a stand switch that doesnt allow the bike to be in gear while the stand is down. This switch may have been damaged when the bike fell and now be malfunctioning.

SOURCE: Yamaha TW 200 cuts out at high rpm

I have a tw200 and when I have this problem its from the cam chain slipping back a notch when I unload it from my truck. I leave it in gear so when I let off the cluch it acts as a brake. I ride by my self so thats why I load it that way. I am guessing you load and unload your tw the same way. So remove the timing cover and make sure you are tdc on both the upper and lower timing marks. The bike will run if the timming is off a bit. It's really easy to set the timing on these bikes. It's easier to look for how to on the xt 200 if you need more help.

I have a 2000 gsxr600 srad and I can't seem to get in gear and when it does it snatches in 1st and cuts off.

it sound like a clutch issue, or the rpm out of control, or a gear is broken or could be rounded off cause it slip out of gear or shut the motor down so it will not cause any more damage.

I have a Series 2 commodore SSV Ute, I'm not sure about the other gears but in first gear when I reach 5500 RPM the engine cuts out. That's the only way to describe it. It's like turning the motor off

most likely an rpm limiter sensor that prevents you from blowing the motor
moving from 1st to 2nd or any gear should be done at no more than 4000 rpms as the engine is outside the torque range and is just a waste of fuel

I have a 03 yamaha vstar 1100 classic and here latley when accelerating hard in second gear the bike seems like the transmission is skipping (not slipping)... any ideas as to what in the tranny is causing...

Sounds like a bent shift fork. While accelerating you can feel the power cutting in and out quickly. The problem will get worse if you keep pushing 2nd gear till it slips. You can learn where (at what RPM) it wants to jump out and start shifting before it jumps out. The long term fix is opening the transmission and fixing the bent shift fork.

Vehicle cut off when you put in gear.

Your display is showing SYSTEM CHECK, the question from you is: When the vehicle is in idle mode, and you go on Drive, it cuts-off, is that correct?
What I saw in that very short clip, with not muck info from you is, that your vehicle RPM (Idle), is very low, and should be at least 850, even as you rev the accelerator, there was low idle/RPM, so either the you are not getting the vacuum, it seem as if the idler-sensor need changing, as is if you get it to work, stop to make a turn it will cut off. Using two feet to drive an Automatic Vehicle is highly dangerous, and not recommended, so I will not advise otherwise how to move along, especially if you are not an experience driver.
Do a tune-up as well, by checking, and if necessary, change the Air-Filter, Spark-Plugs and Wires (but not necessary if you did recently), Fuel-Filter. Have someone Spray your Air-Flow Meter with a proper brand like CRC etc. do not let them touch the little gauge in-it, and have the throttle body sprayed, and check it....
I hope this will help.

Reduce bandsaw speed to cut metal

My old delta has the transmission on the back for cutting metal, and it is geared way down for power, 1140 would be way to fast, It is more like 40 rpm. I don't know if even a set of step pulleys would slow you down enough. Depends on the metal. I have the step pulleys too, but never bother to change them. The transmission, you just pull out the lock in the center of the pulley and it throws it into back gears. real nice, has an oil filled gear box on the bottom. Everybody wants my band saw!

Gauge and instrument cluster intermittenly cuts out on a1996 850

check make sure you have good ground and all fuse and relays are good and alternator putting out good 12 volts. for odometer, replace your speed sensor unit, the sensor may be faulty and computer can not read the revolutions of the gear turning. For your RPM guage, check the wiring to your distributor, the sensor faulty or the wires contact are corroded having bad contact in the distributor, may have to replace the unit if not tolerable
