Gas leak from bottom of carburator

I just sold a scooter in mint cond to a friend,50cc 1989 Yamaha Riva ZUMA II it only had 1000 miles on it and has been well covered and stored its whole life, the first week my frien had it it was great untill he dumped it, it dident do any structual dammage to it the body is fine not even a scratch but for some reason there is a clear line on the bottom of the carburator that looks like it was connected somewhere and now isnt and every time the bike is started it runs fine but gas dosnt seem to stop pouring out of the line can somone please tell me where this line is suppose to connect on the other end to stop leaking thank you jason hamon [email protected]

    thank you for your response i figured out that this was the issue that night after looking at the bike it took me a few mins to stop and think about what was going on but i did end up figuring it out thank you for your help.

The line you are talking about is the carb overflow line. It does not connect to anything. It sounds like the carb needle valve or carb float is sticking in the open position allowing fuel to constantly flow into the carb. You should take the carb apart and examine the two parts I mentioned.
