First take the gas cap off for a few minutes and where the hole is to put the gas into the tank open that up with a screw driver for a few minutes and once the car starts put in a half a tank of gas in it and a bottle of STP gas treatment with fuel injector cleaner and a little more gas and if this helps you should be good and you may have to replace the fuel filter if it does not open it all the way be sure to put the gas cap back on after truck starts

1993 lincoln Town Car wont start

On a car that old, I would suspect a corroded fusible
link, in the wiring harness

I don't have have referrence material to help you
locate those items.

You still have to start buy checking the battery & it's cables
No power to anything at all, your working your way from
the battery to fusible links & on to fuses,to see what you do have

Really need a wiring diagram,if your into that type of understanding
of electrical

Your asking if the car didn't like the way you drive it &

IT IS A CAR --- not a human

Sounds as though you bought someone elses problems

You have to now go thru the entire car to sort out the issues

My 2002 Lincoln cranks up good, trys to turn over, but won't. I drove from work to the store, was in there less than 1/2 hour when this all happened yesterday. We checked the fuel cut off switch, it's ok...

Cranking and turning over-is the same thing

It sounds as though your saying it won't start

Do you have Spark?

Do you have Fuel Pressure?

You may have a failed fuel pump

Can not guess any more than that

It will only be resolved, when the vehicle
has been tested, to find the issue of the no start

Engine cranks as normal but just will not turn over. It sounds as if it wants to ''kick'' over and sometimes you smell gas but just doesn't. Drove on Saturday and haven't had any problems with...

Ohm out your spark plug wires. They should have 15k resistance, new. Older ones lose conductivity. Attach leads and bend them back & forth gently. Jumping needle means replace them, ALL of them. Best 35 bucks (4cyl) you'll ever spend. If changing spark pugs, stay away from single platinum, they don't play nice with DIC engines, go double platinum. She'll fire, she'll run, she'll walk the damn dog after that. Cheers.

Intermittent starting when key is turned.

Rick,
there may be a fuel problem. The fuel pump may not be working properly. Also, if the vehicle has been run out of fuel, there may be air in the lines and turning the ignition off and on will turn on and off the fuel pump which could push the air bubble through the system long enough to let the vehicle run and when it is turned off the air bubble will work its way back up to cause problems again. There may be a problem with the wire from the ignition to the fuel pump as well. When it wont start, you can pop the fuel line off the fuel pump while the ignition is on, or have someone turn the engine over while the line is off and it should push fuel out. If it pushes fuel out, you may have an air bubble in the line somewhere. You can get rid of the bubble by turning the engine over and crack each injector line off one at a time while the engine is being turned over.
Hope this helps!

Won't start!

the spark from the starter is a loose wiring or short starter, but the main thing is you can crank it,check it, you have a spark at plugs if yes check if your pump is working
