If the brake lock by itself when cruising than I recommend you to dissasemble the calipers, the brake pump and clean them.
The bike was unused a long period of time?
Also first you could try by remove the old brake fluid and put another one in place.

I have just purchased a 2005 kia sedona from a mechanic. It's a nice car, but every time I'm driving down a road and step on the brake, the door locks unlock all the doors. The automatic door

it sounds like you may have a door switch going bad or in need to adjustment, the car thinks the door is ajar and then cycles the locks. the hard part may be to figure out which switch is making it act up.

The parking brake on my John Deere L118 is stuck in the activated position. Therefore the tractor won't roll. How can I disengage the parking brake?

Usually there is a red handle under the steering colunm that locks the pedal down. You will need to depress the brake as you push down on the red handle which should release it.
