SOURCE: my '86 suzuki savage won't rev up it just back fires

When I had my savage it backfired all the time. They are known for this. Make sure you fuel is not to lean. Just adjust the fuel. You should adjust that and put some sea foam in it or ethenol treatment since most of the gas is terrible these days. Running 91 octane will help. Also you will want to replace the muffler gasket too.
When you replace that it will smoke which is normal.
I sold mine but I know the bike pretty well from tearing it apart due to trying to fix it from not running properly. Let me know if you have any more issues.

SOURCE: My 2003 Suzuki rm 125 kick starts with brand new

HI,,sounds like your plug is fouling,,what pre-mix ratio are you running? and has the carb been played with? run 32-1 premix and remove and clean the carb.

piston and rings are not to blame for this behaviour.

Hey bros any one know whats wrong with a king quad when the engine makes no sound at all im aware that the earth wire on the solanoid isnt working no spark on spark plug plug is sweet on my bike tho.

If you have no power to your starter, it will not start. Check the positive battery cable going to the starter and make sure it is tight and not burned.

Engine locked on Suzuki 230 quad sport

Hi, Alisa I don't know if it heat seized or trans locked up or just plane broke but it is going to require major surgery for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. I have a 2001 yamaha ttr 230 4 stroke that will not start

when you say pop , do you mean Bump start ?

does the ttr have a kick start as well ?

how long has it not been started for - if its a while the petrol may have gone stale

i would also start with checking spark plug - are you getting a spark ?

My suzuki raider 125 model 2010 won't start even in kick starter

check if a spark is coming when you turn the engine and continue from there, if yes then fuel is not getting in the engine. If no start by changing the spark plug and move from there.

I have a 1986 its either a 230 or a 250 cc not sure which one but anyway my kicker is stuck cant move at all i can pull the quad and jump start it but i cant move the kicker any suggestions

Remove the spark plug then drain the oil then remove the kick lever then the right side cover. Take a look at the kick mechanism. Remount the kick lever and gently move it downward. What is stopping the movement? The clutch assembly will probably need to come off to get a good view. Find the VIN, not the engine number, and then go to the site below. There you can enter the VIN and the site will decode the number free. That will tell you what size the engine is and what model of quad you have. Next go to the Babbitts site and look up the parts diagram for the kick start. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

I have a 1988 suzuki lt250r recently rebuilt i cant get it to start off the kick but can pull it behind another quad and pop start it. any recomendations?

The battery is probably weak. Not enough juice is created by kicking it over. A kick start is only as good as the battery charge. Please rate my answer. Thanks!

Yes.Hold the decom and give it 2-3 kicks.Release it and slowly kick it untill pressure builds up.Pull in the decom and move the kickstarter a very small amount to get the piston very close to t.d.c..Now,give it a full kick and at the same time release the decom.Hope this helps you
