For checking the ohms you will need the repair manual. Should be there the values and the "how to".
First you should ckeck the on/off button to see if him is the fault.
If you don't know that you have spark or not you could check that easily. If the bike has starter is better. If not, you will need a second person to kick the bike and another one to watch the sparkplugs. The checking method is next: remove a spark plug and fix it on the engine everywhere you want but be sure that the sparkplug ( the wrench zone ) is on metal surface but the electrode should be in the air ( not touching the engine ). In this time press the starter button if the bike has starter or kick the bike. If in this time you see no spark on the elctrode gap that means the problem is the spark, coil, the ignition coil itself or the wires that power the ignition coil. How to check that? By purchasing the repair manual for you bike.

SOURCE: Lost spark, Need resistance readings for stater, exciter coil to see if it went bad, the bike would run fine then loose power, eventually no spark at all? Does this usaully go out on these bikes?

Check your battery first. It sounds as if you have a bad rectifier or regulator. The battery voltage should be about 12 volts when not charging and about 13.3 to 14.5 volts when charging. If the battery isn't charging you will only be able to run on the charge in the battery (which won't last long).

Hi, Ricky and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery should have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead-acid batteries.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting/leaking, spark plug cable connections loose check for spark leakage in the dark.
6. Faulty ignition coil or electronic control module.
7. Faulty pulse coil.
8. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
9. Faulty ignition switch.
10. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
11. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

what is an LJ80 ? posted to F10a. its not a F10. its and F8A.
so , shoe drops,., what country, cars vary by country,, year,, engine type , sub types and options.
most of these cars are in museums no.w..
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:1973_Suzuki_Jimny_02.jpg

wiki history... wow.
The Jimny8/LJ80 was an updated version of the LJ50 with an 800 cc, four-stroke, in-line four-cylinder engine, followed by the Jimny 1000/SJ410 and Jimny 1300/SJ413. An updated version of the SJ413 became known as the Samurai and was the first Suzuki officially marketed in the US. The series from SJ410 to SJ413 was known as the Sierra in Australia, and remained the Jimny in some markets.
F8A - 0.8 L (797 cc, 62.0 x 66.0 mm) SOHC - this was Suzuki's first four-stroke car engine.

NO spark with and old car like that , an FSM would really solve all this.
it would , youd turn the spark page, and read.
it would tell you the tests.
no ECU back then, just a stand alone Dizzy.
with coil.
so got spark out the top HV terminal of the COIL....
that is first. if not work back from there.

tests,
does the rotor turn cranking?
does the coil have 12vdc on the plus terminal key on?
does the coil minus lug PULSE , cranking
all yes, then check coil primary ohms and secondary ohms , unplugged 10 ohms primary (about) and 10,000 ohm secondary.
not infinity, and not 0 ohms ever.
that is a start. ask for more.

here is your points dizzy

bad points?
open or shorted condensor, both cause dead spark or weak.
why not tune it up with new points and condensor.
and get fat spark.

On my 92 rm 125 i put a new stater on it and where

Could be a bad coil, coil wire or module. The module converts the pulses of the stator so the coil knows when to spark. Bad coil = no spark. Bad coil wire = no spark to plug.

O3 rm 125 has no spark

check simple things first like, spark plug, try a new one or the plug cap,a bad earth frame connection in relation to the ignition system, cdi unit earth, ecu frame earth etc, etc 1. check the kill switch. 2.check the resistances in the high tension coil. Primary around 0.6 ohm, secondary around 15~20k ohms. 3 . check the output source coil , black/red~ red/white it should carry about 20~ 28 ohms with an output of around 30 volts. 4. last but not least check the pulse coil. red~ green 85~ 115 0hms.Glad to help Red.

Gsxr1000 wont start in hot wheather

coils when begining to go bad can cause that problem.check the spark when cold. and after it gets hot and wont start, check the spark again, if its a weaker spark or no spark, its likely the coils. you can pull the coils off and take them to get tested.
