Engine coughs and stops after about 15 min. of cutting

I have a 2135 cub with a 13 hp Kohler engine that runs great for about 15 minutes. It then sputters and quits running. If I apply some choke, it seems to want to run, but then shuts down. I have changed fuel filter, drained and replaced fuel, added Berrymans B-12 to no avail. If I let it sit for 10-15 min., it runs fine for another 10- 15 min. seems like it's not getting fuel. Any clues?

Turns out it was overheating and shutting down. The grass screen was clogged with fluff from a rag that had fallen from the battery area onto the driveshaft and was shredded. It wasn't bad gas, fuel filter, carburetor,or ignition module. Just carelessness!

I have a Cub Cadet 46 with a Kohler 7000 22 hp engine. The engine surges but runs great when I engage the blades. How can this be fixed please?

Question edited for clarity and all the typos.
Question moved to a better category than 'Garden'.

Surging is normally caused by an air leak. Check from the air filter all the way to the inlet manifold on the cylinder head. When you engage the blades the motor is under 'load'.

More information here, but says, 'not enough fuel or too much air'.

Have a kohler cammand ohc 13.0 hp in a cub cadet mower and it shuts of after 15 20 mins then i need to wait 1- 2 hrs before it will start again, went it shuts of it still has spark

it could be many things. try to change the spark plug. the fuel lines may be close to the engine causing the fuel to boil after it gets hot.. could be a plugged fuel line or filter. the engine may have a bunch of debris in the cooling fins causing it to over heat.

Going to try this again, cub cadet rider mower leaking oil into air filter compartment, it's a 2135 with a 13 HP Command OHV motor

Sounds like a crankcase ventilator is plugged up. It serves the same purpose as a pcv valve on automobile.

Cub Cadet HDS-2135 13B-214F100, runs great for 45 - 60 minutes then cuts out, only run on full choke, cannot mow but runs. Cools down works fine again

check the fuel filter and fuel line. it may need to be insulated to protect from heat. running on choke means it is starving for fuel . take the carburetor off and clean it real good. be sure the fuel lines are away from heat source.

I have a 1999 cub 2135 with a kohler engine. the mower deck wont kick in . i ran a hot wire to the pto & it worked .do i have to replace the switch or the module. i also checked the seat switch &...

IF connecting that one hot wire to the pto made it engage then you either have a broken/cut/bad connection/wire to the pto or the switch is bad.
What you did by using the hotwire to the pto is bypass all the wiring and the switch for the pto.
You can determine if it's the switch real quick if it only has two connections/wires to the switch. Pull the switch, remove the wires and touch them together, after you have the mower in the condition under which the pto would engage. If the pto engages it's the switch for sure.
Take all the proper safety precautions. Don't let the wires touch anything else.

Lawn mower

First ncheck for a dirty fuel filter, if its dirty enough it will starve the engine for fuel after a few minutes, then slowly let the fuel system refill as it sits.
