I would check the safety switches are working properly, particularly the side-stand switch. On many bikes, the engine will die when you let the clutch out if you have the side stand down.

86 4.3 4BC 1500 Chevy Die rolling up to light Started up and ch of fuel and it died 3 times now no start smell fuel and quit yellow spark Have replaced cap rotor plugs wires EGR coil ECM Rebuilt carb

It sounds more like a fuel problem to me then a bad coil or spark ign the spark should be blue but its hard to see in daylight
You say you rebuilt the carb are you sure your main mixture jets are at least 2 to 3 turns out off the stops .
Try pouring fuel down the barrel fill the float bowl if it runs then dies its fuel don't let it catch unfire you should have 45 sec. of run time then adjust the the mixture screws 2 turns is base but when its is running good turn them in 1 at a time and give it 30 sec. to adjust until it starts to stumble then back it out a 1/4 two 1/2 turn then repeat on bank 2

If the problem is not a vac leak, it could be the idle circuit inside the carb. You may have to replace or rebuild the carb to fix it.

Will not start at all not a full sound bat on full charge

Does the engine crank OK?- was it running?
Is there fuel? check for a spark by pulling off the HT lead and fitting a plug & cranking - Spark? No? Check clutch switch, neutral switch & sidestand switch & kill switch work OK.
Spark? Yes?
Drain carbs via bottom screw to get clean fuel / any sediment out.
Clean plugs. Check choke linkages,
Good luck!

Aquired a 1985 gpz600r cleaned carbs new fuel plugs and battery started with a big cloud of smoke (been sat for 7 years) runs lumpy for a minute then dies fuel leaking from 3rd carb have i got to strip the...

First take that 3 rd carb off, the needle and seat is stuck in the open position, the float may be rubbing on the inside of the float bowl cover, or the float setting is out of adjustment (too rich) either way the fuel to the bowl is not shutting off as it fills, the needle and seat must be forced shut by the gas filling the float chamber raising the float and pushing the needle up into the seat. Sometimes the float has been compromised put it in a cup of gas to ensure it floats and is not a sinker. reassemble and check for the fuel over flow if it still over flows your problem has not been solve this issue must be adressed first for the bike to run right otherwise that one cylinder is going to foul and the bike will never run right.

I need the torque settings for the clutch spring bolts on a gpz 1000rx

A service manual is a valuable tool with an aging bike. I suggest the dealer/mfr. or Clymer books. In the meantime, go to the library reference section...646 stacks should have what you need.

Probably a gas delivery problem to the carbs. Check the lines and check for a filter in the line or at the carbs. Something is stopped up and it can't get enough gas to go any rpms.
