That hose is the overflow
the normal place for them to go is between yout engine and your frame and they dangle under the bike
just in case of any overflow problems

SOURCE: I flooded the motor of my yamaha beartracker 250

You will need to drain the oil if water got into it and flush the motor with a good oil flush, you will need to drain the carb to make sure there is no water in the bowl,, and dry the breather and airbox out, you should also make sure that water is not in the axles if shaft driven

I have a Honda self propelled lawnmower hrr.it want run unless u manually put gas in carberater.so does this mean I have to rebuild it

Remove the bowl by removing one bolt from directly underneath it. The bowl is a silver metal cylinder shaped piece.
After removal, you will see a small almost pin sized hole. It is probley clogged up. Take a needle, small nail, anything that you can insert into the hole to clean out. Also blow through the hole.
You may need to repeat this a couple times but it will work!

How do I clean the carborator?

Remove carb from mower. Use carb cleaner and small acid brush to clean outside of carb. Remove bowl from bottom of carb. Clean bowl. Observe bolt that held carb bowl to carb, see if it has a hole or holes thru it. Clean out holes with bread wrapper wire with about 1in of wire. Test float, float down fuel flow, float up fuel stops. Use bread wrapper to clean center port of carb from bottom up thru carb body. Remove float pin float and meter needle, use bread wrapper to clean meter needle passage up thru carb body. Re-assemble carb.
Honda carbs can be purchased new for $14 - $27.

Need to know where the hoses from the carborator go on newly aquired honda 200x atv 1985 also the carborator was torn apart when i got it i think its back together right though

The hoses from the carb are a bowl vent hose (top one) and the one out the bottom is a bowl drain. They don't connect to anything, typically they run down in the frame behind the motor. Good luck!

GENERATOR WON'T START. IT HAS NOT BEEN STARTED IN ABOUT THREE YEARS.IT DID START AFTER I REPLACED SPARK PLUG,BUT ONLY FOR ABOUT 30 SECONDS..ALSO SPRAYED STARTING FUID IN CARBERATOR. NO GO.

FIND THE FUEL SHUT OFF VALVE.IF IT WAS CLOSED WHEN YOU HAD IT RUNNING,THE FIX IS AS SIMPLE AS DRAIN OLD FUEL,REPLACE WITH FRESH GASOLINE,OPEN THE VALVE TRY TO CRANK IT AGAIN.
IF IT WAS OPEN WHEN IT WAS RUNNING,SOUR GASOLINE AND VARNISH HAS LIKLEY GOT TO THE CARBORATOR.
REMOVE THE AIR FILTER,LOCATE THE BOLT IN THE CENTER,ON THE BOTTOM OF THE CARBORATOR BOWL AND REMOVE IT. CAREFULLY EASE THE BOWL STRAIT DOWN,AS NOT TO BEND THE TAB THAT CONTROLS THE FLOAT LEVEL,OR LOSE THE FUEL INLET JET. EXAMIN THE BOWL FOR CORROSION OR GUNK.
THIS IS AN INDICATION THE CARBORATOR MAY BE PLUGED WITH GUNK,WHICH COMES FROM GASOLINE SOURING AND TURNING TO VARNISH AS IT EVAPORATES OVER TIME.
ON THE CARBORATOR,WHERE THE BOWL WAS TAKEN OFF,IN THE CENTER ON THE BOTTOM NOTICE THE FUEL PICK UP TUBE,TAKE A PIPE CLEANER AND CLEAN IT BY PUSHING STRAIT UP AND DOWN A FEW TIMES,THEN FLUSH IT WITH CARB CLEANER.
REPEAT THIS UNTIL IT IS CLEAR.
LOOK CLOSELY AT THE SIDE OF THE PICK UP TUBE FOR A VERY SMALL HOLE,WITH A SMALL WIRE,CLEAR THE HOLE AND FLUSH WITH CARB CLEANER.
CAREFULLY REPLACE THE BOWL AS NOT TO BEND THE TAB ON THE FLOAT,MAKE SURE THE NEEDLE JET IS IN THE NEEDLE SEAT AS YOU PUSH THE BOWL INTO PLACE.
PUT THE BOWL BOLT BACK IN,CAREFUL NOT TO OVER TIGHTEN IT.
WITH FRESH GASOLINE IN THE TANK,AND THE FUEL VALVE OPEN,YOU ARE READY TO TRY CRANKING IT.
IT MAY TAKE A FEW TRYS.
IF YOU FEEL CLEANING THE FUEL SYSTEM IS TOO MUCH FOR YOU,PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS.TAKE THE MACHINE TO A SMALL ENGINE MECHANIC.
YOU MAY CAUSE COSTLY DAMAGE TO DELICATE PARTS OR UNINTENTIONALLY CHANGE THE FLOAT LEVEL CAUSING FLOODING OR STARVING OF FUEL TO THE ENGINE.
BEST OF LUCK...

I have a 2003 Honda CRF230F that I let sit for over two years ( stored inside a shed ) and let the battery and gas go bad. I bought a new battery and drained the gas from the tank and bowl of the...

on the bottom of the carb there is a brass plug that will need to be drilled out and the air fuel mixture screw needs to be removed and cleaned. be sure to turn it in all the way and count the turns to put it back to factory settings. make sure when you turn it in that you only turn it until it bottoms out dont turn it to hard as you can damage the needle. There is a small washer and an o-ring in there as well as the spring dont loose these when cleaning or disassembling the needle. I hope this helps. the air fuel mixture can be adjusted there also by turning it in or out a 1/4 turn at a time till it runs right. You will just have to play with it unless you have a EGA Machine.

Toro Model 20017 pump bulb, runs 2 seconds then quits ....

I had the same problem. I took off the carborator and cleaned every opening I could find. As I was reassembling it, I noticed the holes in the bolt that holds the bowl on were plugged. I hadn't notice that fuel flows through the bolt to the carborator. I cleaned them out and the mower started fine. I suspect it was that all along. I would try cleaning out those holes before you take off the carborator.
