You will need to drain the oil if water got into it and flush the motor with a good oil flush, you will need to drain the carb to make sure there is no water in the bowl,, and dry the breather and airbox out, you should also make sure that water is not in the axles if shaft driven

Quad yamaha beartracker 250

depends on how long betsy was shiny side down. if it was only a few minutes to an hour or so-remove plugs and crank engine to empty cylinders, clean or replace plugs but cleaning should be fine if they are fairly new, absolutely change crankcase(engine)oil. use a cable luber with whatever grease lithium i believe that machine calls for-you should be good to go. good luck!

Flooding

Hi, Jason and the usual suspects are:
1. Dirt or other foreign matter between float valve and its seat.
2. Float valve sticking.
3. Float valve and/or valve seat worn or damaged.
4. Float misadjusted.
5. Float cracked, leaky or damaged.
6. Excessive "PUMPING" of hand throttle grip.

I have a 1999 Yamaha Beartracker that just died when riding it. There is no spark to the spark plug

the spark plug wire may be bad or there is no power coming from the distributor to create a spark.

I've got fuel coming out of the Air Filter housing from a tube running back to the carb

Carb is flooding over. The needle and seat in the float bowl needs to be servived. and that cylinders sparkplug needs serviced and the oil may need to be changed. Sometimes the fuel line to the offending carb can be pinched off and the motor run until tha t carb runs out of fuel turning the fuel back on with that cylinder still runnung the rush of fuel may unfoul the needle and seat and it'll start working good again.

My Yamaha 250cc BearTracker does not start when temps are below 60°F. Is there a fix? Should I try ether?

No ether can damage an engine and they can become dependent on it. Alot of ATV's are hard to start when it gets cold. Is the battery charged if equepted with one. You will need to choke it and let it run till it is warm and push the choke in when it starts to run rough. If this doent help let me know how it act's when this happens.
