U1040 = Loss of ABS serial data

Does the "CHECK ENGINE" light stay on?
If not, then it's a "HISTORIC" code (not current).

Clear the code and see if it comes back, as it might have just been a glitch.

I have a 2013 road glide and just painted inner faring and hand controlled I got it all back together and the dash will light up but I have no ignition to the motor or turn signals or alarm I also checked...

the part numbers are just part numbers, no diagnostic significance for your problem.

U1040 is a priority 8 and = Loss of ABS serial data

You will need to find out what wiring or connector(s) etc was/were damaged when you had the inner fairing off.

What does code U1040 mean on a Harley Davidson ultra glide

If I remember correctly this is an ABS code. Try changing the ABS fuse then clearing the code. I know this has worked in the past. Good luck.

2012 Road Glide Ultra. 16K miles. w/Thunder Max ECM. Code U1040 - what is it and what is the solution?

DTC U1040 indicates that the ABS module is not capable
of sending its state of health message. ( and this makes the ABS Light not flash ) check connections on the Module ...all fuses ...

Possable causes :
Open ABS fuse
Open battery circuit
Open ground circuit
Open serial data circuit
Short to ground in power circuit
ECU malfunction

'99 Ultra engine code 1 blink gap then 6 blinks,

Trouble code 16 indicates the ecm (engine control module) saw a battery voltage less than 6.2vdc or greater than 15.5vdc. The lower reading typically occurs during activation of the starter or indicates loose wire connections. The higher reading is usually caused by a faulty voltage regulator.
