I need to know the chock on/off position of dream yuga. I had to use the chock a few times. And now I am confused on whether it is on/off. There is no indication of on/off position in bike.

I don't know about your type of choke, but try the following.
  • If it is a push/pull button, then normal running position is usually with the button pushed in (choke off)
  • If on your handlebar the normal running position is with the lever pushed forwards (choke off) away from you and is more out of the way whilst riding
  • If a lever that flips back and forth or turns, then that is more difficult to tell. Generally you might feel less resistance when moving it one way or the other, and the easiest way it moves is usually as it is being moved to the off position (choke off).

It star with hoke on the maximum position only, is i throttle it dies imediatly. WHy ?

The choke setting required for starting is related to the temperature. In cold weather, a full choke is normally needed ; in normal temp (70 degrees F) a moderate choke may be all that is needed. Of course, once the engine starts, you may need to adjust the choke as the engine warms up - when ready to ride, you will want to have zero choke set. Hope this helps !

Stalls when I stop

i do not know what motorcycle you have ?
but i detect you may have a choke problem
some motorcycles have a manual choke
and some have an automatic choke

automatic choke comes on with the ignition and
goes off when the motorcycle gets to normal running temperature
hopefully it could be a just a relay that operates your choke
but the other problem with automatic chokes are
if the motorcycle is only used for short journey's
it does not give the bike chance to get up to normal running temperature
eventually the choke will seize up in the closed position
this will make it feel like the engine is choking out as you described
to repair this you will need to remove the carburetor's find out where the choke is
take it apart and clean it up and reassemble the choke mechanism and reassemble the carburetors
refit them to the motorcycle

if your choke is a manual choke
there is a good chance your choke is seized in the closed position
if so it means that the bar between your carburetors that operates the choke has seized
to repair this take the carburetors off
find the bar that operates the choke
and spray some fine oil and move it around until it frees off the mechanism
then refit the carburetors to the bike and give it another go

good luck
ride safe

Car just all of a sudden started sputtering as if fuel filter was clogged again. Choke flap slammed shut and not letting up.

now please explain if this is a europeon escort or a american one as they are two different motors ,Because all europeon vehicles have had cats fitted from 92 with fuel injection so i think this may be a old autolight carb from the 80s

What is the normal position of choke?

The choke butterfly should be open so that it doesn't close the carburettor. If the choke is closed the engine will idle very fast or you will not be able to accelerate properly. Move the choke in the other direction and if it runs porperly then the choke is off. Running with the choke on will destroy your fuel consumption.

Will only run in full choke mode

Try a fuel additive to clean the system, also if the airfilter is dirty or damp, this can cause problems.
You may even have a rust problem in the barrels.
Or even the engine oil may have thickened causing a resistance in the crank bearings, so flush the engines oil ways if other solutions don't work.
