Yes -- All 2 cycle oil is basically the same, It will tell you on the oil jug the mixtures. Although most people tend to stay with the same kind once you find one you like.

This old mcculloch chainsaw has 2 tanks 1 fuel and 1 oil. do iuse 2cycle oil?

You need to use a 25-1 fuel two stroke oil mix in the fuel tank, the oil tank is to lubricate the chain, here should use a non fling chain oil.

2002 kdx 200 reman motor idles great under acceleration and load it runs poorly smokes excessively and fouls sparkplug been running a 50 to 1 ratio of gas oil mix any suggestions

Make sure you have recommended spark plug. 2cycle bikes require a hot plug in order to burn fuel efficiently. I'm not that familiar with your bike but it seems too new-ish for the rings to be bad already. Another thing is... that you can't just use any 2cycle oil... you must use the manufacture's recommended oil for the fuel. Many of these machines are picky about which oil is used. Fuel to air mixture many times is the problem... this has to be just right on a 2cycle... they are touchy if they don't get the right amont of air. I hope somehting here will help you to find the answer or at least eliminate a few things if nothing else :)

What type of oil for a 90 horsepower 1998 engine for a boat?

The outboard leg/transom leg oil is most important, where the gears drive the propeller it will need a heavy oil like hypoid gear oil No. 90. If it is a four cycle motor which doesn't need to have oil mixed with the gas, the base of the motor will have an oil plug and dipstick, and most likely take a high performance oil which acts as a coolant as well as a lube oil, so keep it right on but not over the full mark to avoid deadly engine heat.
If it is a Two-cycle motor you will need a 2cycle oil to mix with the gas according to that engine's particular mix strength on the instructions. Some are automatic oilers - 2cycle injection so you just keep the 2cycle oil tank full. You need to find a sticker on the motor or brochure to get the right oil weight and weather it can take the new multi-weight synthetic oils or not. Also oil the cables and steering pivots and all joints after you take it out of salt water and do your routine flush-out for the leg coolant water system with a hose - the coolant pump in the leg is not rust proof at all, even for fresh water boating.

Need to know the gas:oil ratio for weedeater FL1500

100 ml of 2cycle oil to 4000 ml of fuel..Which is 40/1 ratio
100 ml of 2cycle oil to 5000 ml of fuel.. which is 50/1 ratio

4 o/z is 118.29411875006815 ml to 1 gallon of fuel (3.79 litres or 3790 ml) Which means 32/1 ratio...I find that to confusing,so it is easier to say 100 ml of oil to 3200 ml of fuel ===32/1.

Have no 2cycle oil, can you use something other than that for a homelite chainsaw?

I would not use any other type of oil in the saw. 2 cycle oil is blended to desolve in gas and still protect your saws engine. You can get it every where for alot less than a new saw. Good Luck

94 pw80 floods with 2cycle oil

Sounds like the automatic oiler has gone berserk. Personally, I would save the repair bucks and just drain (and remove if you want to), the oil tank. Then just do like most of the other bikes do. Add four ounces, (32/1), of 2 stroke oil to each gallon of gas.

If your model is an air cooled bike you might want to remove the head and flush the crank cavity. De-carbon the top end while you are at it. If water cooled , remove the carb and manifold and flush through the intake. Both methods are best done with the engine out of the frame.
