Hi, Anonymous for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem. Whats wrong with my electric start it only clicks when you push the button on a 2006 diamo retro scooter

Sounds like the ejector has failed on the starter, just like with a car starter. If you take it off and put it on a table, then apply power to it from the battery, you should see the fail. There's a good chance it is only the solenoid and not the entire starter assembly,

Scooter has a terrible rattling noise in the rear of the motor

What size is your scooter? Variator weights make sounds that would make you think at first that your engine is knocking. Could be a worn or out of position weight. If someone without experience has been messing with it (previous owner) its a strong possibility they didnt get it correct while changing weights. Removing the variator and inspecting components is the only way to find the problem.

Diamo scooter kick starts electric starter not wiring

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Bank angle sensor tripped and ignition/light key switch not cycled to the "OFF" position and then back to the "ON" position.
5. Faulty starter button/switch.
6. Faulty jiffy stand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
7. Security alarm needs a reset.
8. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
9. Electric starter shaft pinion gear is not engaging or over-running starter clutch slipping.

Hi, Anthonywesel you have a dead short which is usually the easiest to find. Using a test light connected to the hot side of the blown fuse holder, start probing the wire leaving the fuse holder about an inch away the test light should illuminate, keep probing towards the ignition switch until the test light no longer illuminates you are now very close to the short. I am not familiar with the diamo retro, but if is a four stroke engine the problem described would likely be burned valves. Chances are, simply re-seating the valves by lapping with valve grinding compound would fix the problem. If the engine is a two stroke, the crank seals may be bad, too much oil in the gas? Partially plugged up exhaust port? In either case, 2 or 4 stroke, disconnect the exhaust pipe and see if that fixes the slow speed problem. The exhaust may be partially plugged up. Also be sure the carb mounts are tight. Off the ground, do the wheels turn freely or are the brakes dragging? Is the drive belt (or chain) in good condition?
