SOURCE: won't idle steadily

Check the rubber boot that joins the carby to the engine to often have seen the hose clamps over tightened therefore creating a split in the rubber letting to much air in giving the rough idle eventually you wont be able to start it at all (have a good thorough look inside an outside of boot doesnt take much)

92 timberwolf dosn't have good spark

Being a 92, you only ahve a few things to look at. The coil, making sure it is good and also making sure you have full voltage and a good ground. spark plug wires are good, and the spark plugs are good and set at the proper gap. I use original equipment(OE) parts on my vehicles. Most people vehicles I work on want the cheapest parts. Some times this is a problem in itself.

I have a 1995 yamaha timberwolf and it will not start why

firstly check that the timing chain is still intact or that the sprockets are timed correctly, if so then you need to check to see if you have a spark at the plug's, if you do then your problem is definetly fuel,If you don't have a spark the start looking and working backwards from the plugs first, then on to your plug cap,s ,ht lead's and back to the cdi unit

Yamaha timberwolf 4x4 carberator issues

Hi,

Firstly, if you are not a mechanical person you should never buy a vehicle that does not run.
However, here are some basic tests.
1. Connect a good battery.
2. Remove the spark plug.
3. Turn the motor using the starter motor or kick starter.
4. check for spark by inserting a new plug into the plug cap. (make sure the plug is grounded).

If the motor turns freely and there is spark, chances are good that the motor will run. This does not mean that the motor is in a good condition. Only with the motor running will you be able to know for sure.

You will now have to source a carb and fit it to the 4 wheeler.
Fitting the carb is not too difficult. Check that the intake manifold is not perished or torn, and remember to use the airfilter.

Enjoy the ride !
