SOURCE: Brake lights, turn signal and horn not working...

Check the wiring within the headlight shell--look for connectors that may be corroded or pulled loose. A little WD-40 will favor connection integrity when sprayed into the connectors, then coupling and uncoupling them several times. Hope this helps!

I have a Honda vtr 1000 sp1 Indicators and horn stoped working all other electronics are fine ! Is it just a fuse or the switch assembly??

Hi, Carl before diagnosing any turn signal/running light/parking light issue make sure the bulb is good and the light fuse has continuity with a test light. If you have replaced you OEM lights with LED lights you are going to need a load equalizer. If no turn signals work the cause could be a faulty turn signal module or the connector going to it, look for corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets. Contact spray cleaner is great for removing corrosion. If your speedometer does not function properly it will have to be fixed first because your turn signal module gets the data from the speedometer for normal turn signal function. If your front turn signals don't work use a test light to check for power and ground at the bulb socket, then start backtracking the wiring through every wire connector to the turn signal switch/button and check for continuity, go all the way back to the fuse if necessary to find the cause of the malfunction. If your rear turn signals don't work check your rear fender wiring harness connector first for corroded, broken, loose pins/sockets, power, and a good ground, (the harness connector is usually located under the seat on the front of the rear fender) then keep tracing the wiring look for obvious harness damage caused by the rear tire. If you still can't find the malfunction backtrack from the rear fender wiring harness connector. If one side does not work you could have a faulty turn signal switch or module check for continuity. No turn signals no brake lights no horn no speedo on a 2000 dyna fxdl

Hi Anonmous, get out your test light and start at the ignition switch and work your way to switch housings and beyound. If you disconnected the battery for any reason you might have a TSM/TSSM issue. For a free wiring diagram please visit the website below:

Turn signals, horn and brake lights dont work harley dyna

Hi Anonymous, always check fuses and bulbs first, you could have a faulty turn signal module or a bad turn signal button/switch, remove it from the switch housing and check for continuity, check your wiring and connections from the turn signal switch to the turn signal module with a testlite. Make sure all wires are not worn or pinched and connector pins are not corroded, broken, or loose.
Check the wire connections to the horn making sure they are clean and tight, there is power going to it and the ground wire is securely fastened. Then look behind the horn body for a small set screw sometimes with a jam nut. This screw puts tension on the horn diaphram to vibrate alot or vibrate a little. Have someone hold in the horn button while you adjust the screw in or out as necessary. Then check the connection at the rear fender wiring harness, inspect for corroded, broken or loose pins. Use a dab of dielectric grease and repair as necessary. Check your brake relay if you have one , check your brake light switches for continuity, some models rear turn signals were single filament bulbs only, no running light. If all else fails get out your test light and start tracking the power wire from the harness connection. For a free wiring diagram please visit the website below and good luck:

Got a 2000 hayabusa, instrument panel back brake light and turn signals out, replaced 15amp fuse, rode the bike next morning same again?

Well...in general....the turn signals brake lights and horn and instrument lights are typically on the Signal fuse on most bikes.
So....any recently added accessories to the circuit?
If not...start at the signal and brake light sockets...inspect wiring around the socket and the sockets themselves looking for a possible short.
Then check wiring to the back under seat for chafing pinching etc
Inspect the wiring aroiund the steering head in case a pinch has occured causing a short on bar rotation.
If all looks okay...inspect the horns....not sure on your Busa, but many horns use 2 wires and ground through the horn button....so the horn needs to be insulated on its mount so as it may be wired hot and can short.

I have a 2000 Pontiac grand Prix GT, I have a problem which GM is aware of. No brake light, third light works in rear window. Bulbs are ok, Fuses are ok. Help

If your third brake light is working then the fuse, and brake switch are ok (it powers up all brake lights). The most likely cause is the column mounted multi-function switch, it consists of the turn signal, hazard and brake light controls, on the right side of steering wheel. You can check at the base of the column. There is a large black three-piece connector there that all the ignition, starter, lights, horn, cruise control and wipers all go thru. With the brake pedal depressed there should be power on the white wire (its on one of the end connectors terminal 1, very first wire, and should have pink wire directly beside it). If power is good, then check for power on the opposite side connector dark green wire terminal 6, and yellow wire terminal 7 (there are near the center directly beside each other). If no power on either (green or yellow) then the multi-function switch is at fault. If power is present on both, then the rear signals must also be out, and you'll have an open connector going to the rear lights.
