Question about Honda VT 600 CD Shadow Motorcycles
Hi Robt, yes there is a little trick if you can find a hex head bolt that fits the allen socket you can then attach two nuts to the bolt and use one of them as a jam nut and I am sorry you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Honda but despair not for a mere $15.00 you can download another one. It is always a good idea to remove a battery from any machine when charging. If it is a lead acid type, Hydrogen gas is given off when charging, and all it takes is a spark(when working with the connections)... and then there is a fire/explosion... and this could go badly for you. I have seen this happen in a brand new car.
If you are prepared to risk it, the least, you need to do is fully disconnect the battery. However, I strongly recommend removing the battery for charging. That way you are working safe, and doing the charge devoid of risk. Happy to answer any questions you may have about this. Cheers

Testimonial: "very helpful"
this time of the yr. spring time a lot of bikes sit all winter and fuel in the carb will age becoming like a vanish that will clog the low speed jet or jets so most likely you need you carb cleaned.

On my 1998 I cut old muffler off. Inside I found smaller pipes. I could remove the baffles. So I order the same size pipe as the out side pipe from JEGS. Welded it over the smaller pipe. Has a nice tone and now getting better MPG. Hope this helps. My HD friends will not ride on my right. They say it's to loud.
