SOURCE: how do I change brake pads on a bmw r1100rt year

I asume form the question you are handy but maybe not experirenced in this repare project If you have never done this before I would take it to a tech days training meeting. serch the web for rallys and other groups. It is fairly easy to do this job as like all disc brakes systems, but the setails are important and this is nothing to mess with unless you are very confident.

Do i need to bleed all four wheels after i replace the left front brake caliper on a 1993 dodge pick up truck?

good practice is to replace both sides as the other will now be a problem
if you pinched the brake hose for the calliper and didn't loose ant brake fluid from that hose , you may be luck otherwise you will have to bleed all lines

If you need to replace a brake line, you're going to have to bleed the line of air once you remove the broken one. I would highly suggest having an Autozone Tech. explain how to get that accomplished (they have always been very helpful to me).

Brake booster

are you getting a spongy feeling & no brakes? first answer these questions & it may solve your problem as boosters rarely fail

Did you bleed the brakes?

Did you bench bleed the master cylinder ? if not you can bleed the brakes for a year and never get a pedal.

to bleed the master remove it from the car just the master not the booster. clamp it good in a vise ,you should have gotten a bleeder kit with the new one , 2 hoses and a couple of fittings, find the fitting that fits, tighten it hand tight attach the hoses to the fittings and place the other end of the hoses in the master below the fluid line ,take a phillips screwdriver and pump the plunger on the master untill you see no more bubbles, leave the hoses attached intill you reinstall it. attach the brake lines and bleed the brakes starting with the passenger side rear , the driver side rear , passenger front ,driver front, in that order. good luck.

THE MASTER CYLINDER NEED TO BE BLED FIRST.BEFORE PUTTING ON THE CAR.TO MANUAL BLEED BRAKE SYSTEM.YOU NEED 2 PEOPLE TO DO A BETTER JOB.YOU FIRST BLEED THE LEFT REAR RIGHT REAR LEFT FRONT AND RIGHT FRONT. WHEN YOU BLEED THE BRAKES.HAVE THE HELPER PUMP BRAKES 3 PUMPS.AND HOLD BRAKE PEDAL IN.YOU NEED A CLEAR BLEEDER HOSE IN A CLEAR BOTTLE HALF WITH CLEAN BRAKE FLUID. WITH BLEEDER HOSE ON BLEEDER SCREW AND OTHER END BLEEDER HOSE IN BOTTLE OF BRAKE FLUID.WHILE HELPER PUMP BRAKE PEDAL HOLD IT IN OPEN BLEEDER SCREW 1/4 TURN ALLOWING AIR BUBBLES LEAVE THE BRAKE SYSTEM.CLOSE THE BLEEDER SCREW BEFORE BRAKE PEDAL RELEASE.HAVE HELPER PUMP BRAKE PEDAL 3 TIMES. WITH PEDAL HELD DOWN OPEN BLEEDER SCREW GETTING AIR OUT OF THE SYSTEM.WHEN YOU SEE SOLID FLUID COMING OUT OF BLEEDER HOSE THE AIR IS OUT THE BRAKE SYSTEM.DONT DRIVE CAR ON HIGHWAY IF YOU STILL CANT GET SOLID BRAKES. HAVE CAR TOWED IN TO BE PRESSURE BLEED.

I need to know how to properly replace the brake hose.

There is no improper way to do it. Plan on fluid coming out of that hose and the line it is connected to. Remove the old hose. Install the new hose.
IMPORTANT: Bleed the line by having someone press and hold the brake peddle while you open the bleed screw at the wheel. (You could connect a small piece of plastic fish tank air line to the bleed screw to catch the fluid and allow you to conduct it to a bottle or jar.)
After a few seconds, retighten the bleed screw and have your helper pump and hold down the brake peddle again. Then you open the bleed screw again.

Repeat until no air comes out (fluid only).

Next, add DOT 3 brake fluid to the master cylinder.
Test for leaks.

Do you have someone there that can Pump the Brake Pedal while you Bleed that Side? That is what you need to do.
