the oil site glass is on the left side of the bike down around the shifter and I use a extendable mirror and a flashlight. I aim the mirror at the site glass while shining the light at the mirror. easy

you don't have to remove the tank. If you remove the speedometer cowl, there is a positive and negative under the cowl. Just tie your wires to these and you will have power. It is in the fuse panel under accessory.

Battery keeps dying in my Kawasaki 900

possible reg/rec issue or the stator....if you have a multi meter you can check the stator by unplugging and hooking up to the stator (component side), set multi meter to volts a/c and connect each plug for voltage. then do a residence test on the stator.
reg/rec issue, make sure you have proper ground, do a diode test to make sure that it is d/c and not a/c

Noise at low rpms after heavy rain sounds like a siren but go's away at cruising speed 2008 valcun 900

It's your drive belt if this is a 900 Vulcan... They make noise when they are wet... Good Riding!

Process of changing the rear brake pad on the Kawasaki vulcan 900 classic ---could not find the 900 on the drop down menus

Remove the 2 break bolts that hold the break to the bracket. Remove the pin covers on the side. <2 flat heads> Remove the Alan key pins and old pads will come out. Use a c clamp and a rag to compress the caliper piston. replace break pads pins and pin covers. Re bolt the break to the bracket. pump breaks till stiff. open bleeder. pump twice and close during pump. clean up and enjoy ;D
