Take a look for a Allan bolt screwed into the bottom of the rame on the right side just below the oil tank. You should see a hose leading to the other side of that Allan on the top side of the frame

Drain plug location

It's a crankcase drain plug.
Almost everyone ignores it.
About the only time you'd use it is to drain the last little bit of oil before pulling the motor to split the cases.

How do I change my oil on my 2009 FLSTN

Begin with the bike at operating temperature. Remove the dipstick from the oil tank. Remove the drain plug underneath the bike at the front of the oil pan. It is a 5/8 bolt with an allen hole in it. Do not remove the plug that just has an allen head! After the oil is drained, replace the o-ring on the drain plug and reinstall the drain plug. Remove and replace the oil filter at the front of the motor. Replace the oil (3 quarts). Reinstall the dipstick. Start the bike and check for leaks at the drain plug and oil filter.

I am doing an oil change on my firtst 88 inch twin cam. the manual shows where the drain plug is. but when I started draining what i thought was the motor oil . it appears that transmission oil came out....

I think the engine oil drain is on the bottom of the oil pan and the transmission oil drain is on the side. I'm really not positive as I work on the older models that have both drain plugs on the bottom of the pan. On my 1994 WideGlide, the drain plug in the middle of the pan is the transmission drain and the one on the front left bottom is the engine oil. Go to this site as look your bike up. Look at the Transmission picture of the housing. http://www.bikebandit.com

I need to see a video of oil being changed on a 2005 softail deluxe

I doubt you're going to find a video of the oil being changed on a Softail. To change the oil on your Softail, look at the oil tank from the right side of the bike. At the lowest point on the backside of the tank, you'll see a large hose coming from the tank and running down behind the transmission. The hose comes back out from behind everything at the lower part of the frame behind the exhaust pipe and looks like it connects to a crossmember of the frame at the bottom. Feel underneath the crossmember directly underneath the hose and you'll feel a drain plug. Remove the plug and the oil drains out of the tank.

Looking for drain plug 2006 superglide

The oil drainplug for your superglide is on the bottom of the transmission. The oil tank is on the bottom of the transmission. The oil drain is the plug closest to the front left corner of the oil tank. The other plug is the transmission oil drain.

Where is the oil drain on the bike

From the right side of the bike, look down below the transmission behind the exhaust pipes. You should see a large hose. This hose has either a metal plug in it or it connects onto the frame cross member on the bottom of the frame. If it connects to the cross member, there is a plug underneath the cross member.

Trying to change my oil. i drained the gear oil how do i refill it. how do i drain motor oil?

To refill the transmission oil, take the small round inspection plate at the top of the primary cover off. I think your primary holds about a quart of transmission lube.

To drain the oil, look on the left side of your bike below the battery. There should be a hose that has either a plug in it or that looks like it plugs onto the frame somewhere. When you loosen the clamp and pull the plug or the hose off the frame, the oil drains.

If you have trouble locating it. The hose comes from the very bottom of the oil tank on the backside. Find it and follow the hose to the end.

Where is my drain plug located on my 2006 sporster 883 for motor oil

Look on the left side of the bike below the battery box. They've changed them over the years but you'll see a large diameter hose that either has a plug in it or it is simply plugged onto the frame. If you pull the hose off the frame, be ready with something to catch the oil with.

Good luck
