spitting where. do say. be exact. and dont drive it or park in doors. why not find a ASE ceritfed mech. and get him to fix it. its not a run around, get a real mech that knows his ropes, id he run an injector balance test? if not find a new mech. but again injectors only spit 2 ways wrong, and you never said which way, 1: in the combustion chambers, or all over top of engine, one 3 way is to leak out exhaust manifold flange. but is really #1

you do know that gas burns right and can be very dangerous, for sure if you have any type of injecrtor leakage.

Is the gas coming out from the injector itself? If so remove the fuel rail and check/replace injector o-rings. Loss of fuel pressure could cause power loss.

SOURCE: 1992 Honda Prelude Timing Belt Diagram

There's no such thing as a timing belt diagram.

Do you mean to say the "Procedure" for changing a timing belt in a 92 Prelude?

By asking such a question I can only interpret it as a clear indication that you've never changed a timing belt before.

If this is true, then you don't want to start out or practice on your own car.

Get the car to a pro and have the job done right.

If not true (and you've changed timing belt's in the past)

Then give me the engine size and I'll post the:

"PROCEDURE" for changing the belt in a few hours.

SOURCE: how to drain a gas tank in a 95 honda prelude

I woulldn't worry about that fuel too much. Let me know if you have done anything to the motor, i.e., cleaned the spark plugs, checked the oil, water/radiator fluid level...corrosion on the battery. What does it sound like when you try to start it?

They make products to add to the gas...fuel stabilizer for example.

We have a 1992 hondal prelude that got hit in the drivers side door. After that it lost power. I t doesn't have any spark or fuel.

try replacing the main relay. location is under the steering column usually bolted down with a single bolt. this relay controls spark and fuel.

Sounds like it could be either a split vacuum hose or your idle control valve is faulty.

My prelude is reving up and down while in park its a 92 fuel injected

That sounds like the mas air flow censer or the throttle position censor to me, I had a 1991 nissan fair lady z which did the same thing when they went out. Try removing it checking the wiring plugs, and cleaning the plugs and censors with electronic cleaner (you can purchase that at a local autozone)

Where is the fuel pump relay on 92 Prelude S?

Up above your gas pedal. It will be a gray box or a brown box. Don't buy a new one, just pry the cover off of it and look close to find the broken solder connection. Heat the faulty pin until the solder puddles around it and your good to go. It's smaller than a human har, look close and you'll see the loose connection.

I have a Honda Prelude 1989. How do I safely improve my cars power and performance.

The best way is to purchase a later model that has a larger, more powerful turbo charged engine to start with. What you are proposing is very expensive (parts and labor) and can lead to many future problems due to increased wear, problems with fuel, and strange quirks. The quickest way to improve what you have is to install a supercharger of some sort, but that can be problematic as well. Nitrous gas injection also produces more HP, but the equipment and gas is expensive and can lead to a damaged engine.

Try taking all fuses out (engine bay box and larger fusebox to right of drivers right foot), checking for poor/dirty fuse contacts. Check all visible wiring plugs/sockets for looseness & wire damage (could be rubbing of something). Could be something loose going to ECU box.
