Power to the fuel pump comes from the system relay via the fuel pump fuse. The power to the relay contact is from the ignition switch via the ECM fuse. The relay is activated with power form the ECM itself and is also controlled by the "stop/run" switch on the right handlebar control, so make sure it is switched to "run".

SOURCE: Unable to locate fuses on a 2001 Sportster 1200??

look behind the panel on the left side by the battery. pull the fuse holder down. realease the little clip and tug it downwards. It sits in grooves and the body of the fuse block just slides up and down.

SOURCE: How do you adjust the clutch on a 07 1200

Their are 2 ways to adjust the clutch. First slide the rubber boot off the adjustment screw on the clutch cable, you can then make adjustment to cable for the pull. If you need to adjust the clutch itself you need to remove the derby cover, once you remove the derby cover you will see the cam that the cable attatchs to in the center of the cam you should see a post with a slot for a flat head screw driver tighten that post down and then back off a quater turn. when you tighten it down don't over tighten it, just snug.

2011 Harley Sportster 1200. How can I check to see if fuel pump is working?

Its possible the pump has stuck from lack of action, check for a fuse. I would only expect the pump to run on Crank. This prevents the pump fuelling a fire in the event of a fall. When up and running the pump stays on. Check out you tube or a HD forum.

Fuel pump fuse keeps blowing

Hi Anonymous, you have a hard/dead short that should be easy to find generally they are the easiest. Time to get out your test light and start tracking the wire from the power side of the switch, circuit breaker or the blown fuse receiver, when the test light quits lighting you are very close to your short. For a free wiring diagram please visit the website below and good luck.

1997 Sportster won't start

Check the battery, try jump starting with another battery or power source, removing the plug is reducing the compression making it easier for the starter to spin. I suspect your battery or starter doesn't have the jam to spin the motor.
