Nothing when turn key. Bought new battery and fully charged, installed, still nothing.

Hello,
The "ticking" you hear is probably the solenoid trying to "connect"
The solenoid is the round thing that is the first thing the large red cable from the battery runs to. There are more wires connected to the solenoid..the TWO big ones carry the power from the battery and then jump it to the BIG cable that goes directly to the starter. You can CAREFULLY "jump" the two big connectors ON the solenoid with a screwdriver ( CAREFUL - SPARKS WILL FLY!). If the motor turns over you have a bad solenoid. Key does not have to be on, you just want the motor to turn over. NO open fuel sources!! SPARKS WILL FLY WHEN YOU JUMP.
Try this and repost, let me know.

My car won't start. The key is put in the ignition and there is a ticking sound. The lights come on, the break is hard to press but when i do the ticking noise stops. 2002 honda civic. only 40,000 mi....

Your battery power has been drained. First thing I would do is to charge the battery via using another car to jump start the car and let it run for an hour or two. Or get a charger and jump the car. Either way I would run it for an hour or two recharge the battery. If that doesn't work then you will have to replace the battery.

Hi!

I think you killed the battery, and its not a good idea to use the radio while the car is off especially if you got a Subwoooooooooooooofer.lol

You might need to charge the battery or jump it. Good luck

I drove the Jeep home with no problems. This morning, it won't start -- no power at all, no radio, light, power lock, power window ... nothing works but I keep on hearing a fast "tick, tick, tick" sound...

Your battery is low or has weak cell. I recommend jump starting vehicle. If it jump starts then replace the battery. If
battery warning light is illuminated on dash may have charging
system concern.

When I try starting the car, it makes a fast ticking noise....the batery is good cause everything turns on with it but when I ignite, it ticks. Is it the starter?

THat is the starter my friend but why dont u try to jump start the car and see if this helps. That most likely sounds like a bad battery to me. As you are hearing the starter still is trying to go but doesn't have enough power to kick its gear into the flywheel.

sounds like you have a dead battery, have it jumped and have your battery and alternator checked. also have checked for a draw after vehicle is turned off.
