Well if it looks like that picture, it's a dirt bike, not legal for street use. If it has head lights and blinkers, it is a dual sport. The engine size is stamped into the head. Like .125 liter or .250 liter. I think the dual sport is a KZ and the dirt bike is KX. That is Kawasaki.
i think its probly an 01 but call dealership and give them the 10th diget of your vin (this will be a letter) and they will be able to tell you for sure
Your best bet would be to take the VIN down to your nearest dealer. They can tel what year it is and either show you a diagram or sell you a manual. Good luck hope this helps.
Any Kawasaki dealer can take that frame number and tell you exactly what you have providing the bike is reasonably current. They are about the only ones who have the code list. Give a dealer a phone call.
usually on the front fork area where the forks pivot there should be a manufacter sticker with the brand and year and most times the size also. Just a guess but my bikes have them.
