Can't replace Komoto 250cc scooter battery

My Komoto QH-250II-A 250cc scooter has died in my garage. I know the battery has died, but I don't know where the battery is. My friend works on his Harley, but he can't find the battery either. There is a little round peice that sits on top of a long metal pipe that has connections like a batter but it's round and obly2 inches in diameter and 1 1/2 inches tall - can't be the battery. We tried hooking a charger to it anyway but it didn't work. Anyone know how to find/replace the battery?

The battery is located under the seat. It is covered by a black plastic cover that can be easily removed by taking out the screws that hold it.

Just look for the starter then trace the hot wire (or both wires) until you see a battery ,the silenoid will come before the battery if your tracing from the starter, good luck,....Mr. Obvious

I just purchased a new 2007 Komoto QH-250II-A and the battery was under the seat in an open location. I was surprised it was so easy to see. My old scoot had the battery in the front behind the head lights under about a gazillion screws.
Try looking under the seat.

SUPERBYKE POWERBAND R50 Where can I locate the battery on this bike ?

Hi, Corbet your scooter falls in the CCGS class of scooters because there are at least 100 different brand names of the Classic Chinese Generic Scooter which all have the same body style and mostly run the 50cc-250cc Honda GY6 engines which mean's you can literally go to any shop that works on scooters for parts and repairs. This brings me to the main part of this answer, only the top 10 scooter manufacturers have service-parts-owners manuals that are easily available, CCGS scooters have no manuals available except for the occasional user guide so if I give you a link to a manual of a different brand name, despair not, for it will contain 99% of what you need or are looking for, regarding repairs or maintenance. I installed by mistake wrong polarity of battery

Does this scooter have electronics on it ? If it does then that is where you want to look. If it has electronic ignition you might have ruined the Module. Light bulbs will be okay. You will need a OHM meter and start checking out all the wiring and fuses (there should be more than one fuse) The charging system may have to be replaced too. Good luck to you

Three causes:

1: Dirty battery terminals

2: Battery is flat or dying

3: The starter motor is dead and all that is happening is the solenoid is clicking in and out
