Question about 2002 Honda XR 200
I just bought this bike a few days ago for m girlfriend to ride. the guys i got it from where older, and said it had been sitting around unridden for years. when i got it it ran fine, and shifted they said it was only the second time they had started this year. my girlfriend has only riden twice for short periods of time, and now the bike is having a hell of a time getting in to second gear, but once you get it there you can get in to the others. the only gear with a problem is getting in to second from lower, not higher what do you think? does this sound expensive, or?
There is a very small space on the shifter drum for neutral.
After a lot of miles they usually get difficult due to the fact that they wear. The only thing you can do is remove the shifter drum and inspect for wear and usually replace it.
Good luck and happy riding
