No - evo motors drain from the oil tank - Look for a drain plug in the hose under the tank

Hi, Anonymous your engine oil tank drain hose is located on the right-rear-bottom corner and has a metal plug secured by a crimp or worm clamp, your transmission oil drain plug is a 3/16" allen head pipe threaded plug located at the center bottom side of the bearing housing on the right side of the transmission, your primary oil drain plug (same as transmission drain plug) is located at the bottom backside of the "inner" primary sorry you can not find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Harley despair not, for a mere $10 you can download another one. Why did my engine oil level rise on 1996 fatboy 1340 after fresh oil change

if you have an oil cooler or remote oil filter, possibly you didn't drain ALL of the old oil before you refilled with new oil

1997 harley davidson 1340 evo engine has no oil pressure

MY 1995 1340 evo roadking oil light stays on at idle when the engine is hot, I've chenged the oil and filter using genuine harley davidson, changed the oil pressure switch and even done a full engine flush with 4 litres of flush oil which as made the oil light stay on until 1200 RPM's, before i flushed the system the light would go off at a round 1000/1100 rmp's.

Have been asked to do a oil change on a Harley Davidson 1200, evo year 2004, not like other Harelys , dont no where to start

If it's a 2004 1200 Evolution, it must be a Sportster. To change the oil, look on the right side of the bike below the battery tray. There is a hose with either a plug in it or it plugs onto the frame somewhere behind the primary cover. Take the clamp off and remove the plug or pull the hose off the dummy frame part and the oil tank will drain. Refill with three quarts of oil.

If you change the primary/ transmission oil. the drain is underneath the rear most part of the primary. Remove the plug and drain the primary. Refill with a quart of oil added at the primary chain inspection hole.

Good Luck
Steve

How do i change my engune oil

Warm up the bike first. On Evolution Sportster's, be sure to change the filter the same time you change oil. The oil may be drained from the tank, by locating a blanked-off hose behind the transmission case, near the frame. Remove the plug and drain into a proper container. One problem with Sportster's (and other HD engines) is that some old oil is always left in the system. You can eject some of this by taking off the plug wires and cranking the engine to expel old oil back into the tank, and hence to drain line. Don't crank the engine more than 30 sec. to avoid damage. Never run engine W/O oil in the system. Recycle old motor oil !!

How to change oil on 2007 harley davidson flhtcui

On the earlier dressers (Evolution engines), the oil tank is on the bottom of the transmission. If you look underneath the transmission, you'll see two drain plugs. The one closest to the left side of the bike is the engine oil drain, the one in the center is the transmission drain.

Ride bike to warm the oil up and then remove the drain plug. Let old oil drain out. Remove and replace oil filter, simply screw the old one off and screw the new one on. This is a messy job. Oil goes everywhere. I cut a plastic milk jug so it will fit around the bottom side of the filter to catch most of the oil.

Refill oil tank with the prescribed amount of oil, on that bike, I think that's four quarts. Pour in three and check the level, if still low, add the last quart. I think they bike came with H-D Syn3 from the factory.
