1996 FXDWG. It looses power when I try to throttle up . Like I only get 1/2 throttle. At full throttle it won't go over 60.

It does back fire at times. It runs a little rough at first.

It might be a vacuum leak .... It could be alot of stuff (sorry )

I'd check for vacuum leaks - check all your hoses.... Do a compression test .....

let me know what u find

When's the last time you looked at the air filter? I had trouble myself climbing hills until I quit smoking. Everything has to breath free so they can go fast.

Workin on a 2007 Electra Glide Classic, seems to loose power at start up sometimes, almost like timing problem, any ideas?

Hi, Anonymous could be an O2 sensor IAC valve hard to say without a scan there are half dozen sensors that could be going south and turning into gremlins, first thing I would do is check to see if you have any stored error codes sorry you can not find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Harley despair not, for a mere $10 you can download another one. 2009 sportster relay switch clicking

Check your battery connections and make sure they are tight where the positive cable attatches to the starter and the negative cable attatches to ground. Sportsters are notorius for this type of problem when the cables are loose.

1988 sportster 1200-

try swapping out the wires. just grab two wires off the old lady's car and give it a spin, if all is well put her wires back and buy you a new set. could be the coil tunneling. ohm meter may or may not show up a problem. stock dual fire coil should run 3 to 5 ohms. on the primary. if you have a single fire set up with two coils you could have damaged the electronics if you have them and the power transistor that drives the coil is shot.
