I had same problem and my fix was the safety "button" associated with the kick stand. It was not fully releasing when I raised the kick stand. Try spraying it with lubrication and working it in and out several times. It's an easy place to start your search.

Cutting out really bad

Hi, Kristy would help me a lot if I knew the year-make-model and the usual suspects are:
1. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
2. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
3. Faulty main circuit breaker and or connections.
4. Faulty ignition coil and or connections.
5. Faulty spark plug, oil or gas fouled, wrong heat range or service type, wrong gap, loose in the cylinder head, broken electrode or insulator.
6. Faulty spark plug cables, leaking or broken, internal damage.
7. Faulty ignition module, switch, CKP, MAP, CMP, sensor and or any connector in the ignition circuit could have corroded, loose, or broken pins/sockets
8. Burnt exhaust valve or air leak in the exhaust system.

# 2 cylinder plug wire was cut... All wires were replaced but car still backfires.... What else can cause this

What is the year, make, and model of your vehicle, as well as engine size? You say it this as you try to start it? Does it backfire constantly, or intermittently?

My tzr 250 is backfiring. after backfiring the engine will cut off. and i can hardly start the engine.

A back fire like that can mean an electrical problem.
have the coils checked
it could also be as simple as a short in the cut out switch, or a worn ignition switch

My 1999 honda shdow aero backfires on de acceleration.ihave changed plugs, coils &wires.

Backfiring on deceleration is air getting into the exhaust and igniting unburned fuel. You probably have an after market exhaust on. You need to seal up the exhaust system by replacing all the exhaust gaskets. Dig the copper crush washers out of the head and replace them with new copper crush washers. This should take care of most of the popping. If the problem persists, unbolt the fuel cut diaphragms from the side of the carburetors and inspect them for holes and stickiness. Replace the fuel cut diaphragms if they are bad . Fuel cut diaphragms are on almost all Honda Kei Hin carburetors to stop the cycles from popping or backfiring on deceleration With the stock exhaust.

Sound cuts when volume is turned up

check that power amplifier rating(how many watt)must be more than total speaker rating by 20% at least..
exampel:if speakers watts are 100 watt-amplifier watt must be 120 watt.
