I'm having a frustrating problem with my dashing lights. I cannot see how fast I'm going at night and my radio/clock lights go out when I turn my exterior lights on(headlights and back lights). -Checked all fuses none are blown out - I opened up my headlight switch box(possibly be the problem?) My guesses: - Short in a wire - Dash panel bulbs went out - Need a new headlight switch box? Please any help is much appreciated.
Have you checked for power in and out of the dimmer switch for the dash lights ?
Testimonial: "I just needed to replace the headlight/dimmer switch box connecting to the wires. Take the wire box off of the main box in the dimmer switch. Something inside of there must of blown or broke. I went to AutoZone they had my part (2) exact parts. Took me about 10 hours to finally accomplish what needed fixing. Thank goodness. Unfortunately AutoZone didn't have a knob or plastic piece for the actual part of the dimmer switch, but that was fine.. I just went to a local junkyard with bonnevilles and found what I needed. :)"

you need a head light switch. buy from carquest (significantly less expensive then dealership).
remove knobs (small insert on pull knob press in with a small flathead while pulling towards you, twilight knob pops right off)
take off the cover plate over steering wheel (pop out with flat head screwdriver)
then cover over instruments (small torx bit 5 screws, 2 hidden by previously removed cover).
three small bolts hold in light switch.

Check the dimmer switch to your dash light. If there turned down, your dash and radio illumination light will be dime or not working at all. Keep me posted, be glad to know if it is the dimmer switch turned down or you dimmer switch has gone bad. Good luck

My dash instrument panel. My whole dashboard I cannot see any lights coming from it except for my high beam lights/brights and my turn signals. All other lights don't work.
