Oil in spark plug hole

Hi ther i have a 125 scooter and ther is oil comein out ov the spark plug hole

Check the spark plug is may not be tight enough, don't over tighten it as you will damage the head.
Replace the plug as it may be missing its oil ring.

Hi, Ben and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting, leaking, spark plug cable connections loose check for spark leakage in the dark.
6. Faulty ignition coil or electronic control module.
7. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
8. Faulty ignition switch.
9. Tilt sensor needs a reset.
10. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

VMOTO MONZA 125 no spark


Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery should have 12.5 volts or more and be able to pass a proper "LOAD" test if necessary, you may have a preliminary reading of 12.5 volts or more but little or zero amperage the battery is faulty and must be replaced, AGM batteries fail in this scenario more so than lead-acid batteries.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting/leaking, spark plug cable connections loose check for spark leakage in the dark.
6. Faulty ignition coil or electronic control module.
7. Faulty pulse coil.
8. Faulty CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
9. Faulty ignition switch.
10. Tilt sensor needs a reset.

Buddy 125 will not start


ENGINE/CARB CLOGED TAKE SPARK PLUG OUT AND AIR FILTER OFF COVER INLET TO AIR FILTER WITH HAND AND SPARK HOLE WITH THUMB CRATE GOOD SEALS CUP UN CUP REPEAT UNTIL HEAR A POP SOUND.

thats the problem with scooters.. it needs to take out all the plastic parts to get access at spark. the spark usually is on right foot or in front behide fridge

Iv got a 1978 kawasaki ke 125 .. How do i disconnect the oil pump/injection system if its a two cylinder? and im wondering when i got the bike it has two spots for spark plugs but theres a bolt in one...


A 1978 KE125 has only one cylinder. The head does have two spark plug holes. From the factory there is a bolt in one of the holes. The thought behind having two holes is that two plugs can be in the head at the same time so that the rider can just move the spark plug wire from one plug to the other during a race without needing any tools or waste time trying to install a new spark plug. If for some reason you want to disconnect the oil pump, you would drain the oil tank then put a plug on the oil pump infeed line.

Engine turns over but doest start ive checked the spart plug its fine the batterys charged an all the elictrics are working petrol and oil is fine ? any ideas


you should first do a full inspection before you try to get it running. If this is the case, I'd do a compression check first because it's easy to do. First, check the quantity and condition of the engine oil. Hook up or purchase a good battery. Leave out the spark plug and crank the scooter for ~5 seconds. This helps to circulate the oil. Let it set for ~15 seconds and then do it again. It's not a good idea to continuously crank the starter because it can overheat and wear out prematurely. Most scooters need a minimum of 100 psi in compression in order to run start and properly. Compression should be checked when the scooter engine is warm. However, that's hard to do if your scooter is not running. So, just hook up a compression gauge and open up the throttle all the way. Crank the scooter until the needle on the compression gauge stops moving. This should take no more than 5 seconds. Very roughly, 100-125 psi is good, 125-150 psi is very good, and 150+ psi is great. If you don't have this level of compression, then you have bad valves and/or bad piston rings. If you want, you can add a teaspoon or so of oil to the engine through the spark plug hole. Then try the compression test again. If compression is higher, then it's likely you have bad rings. The oil will seal the rings and give you better compression. If compression is the same, then you have bad/misadjusted valves.

. . .it will take u ages to start it if its been sat 4 a while . . . so clean jets in the carb and chek ther is an air filter on it and just keep kicking the kick like mad and it shud start if not then

maby you have touched somthing on the carb when you changed the air filter or maby spark plug is to big or maby faulty try new one or your old one

late reply but in case other users need help with this, i had the same problem with my LEIKE LK 125 GY-2... Normally there sucking pipe to the carb comes loose or falls off... Just reconnect it :) Jamie
