Question about 2006 Yamaha XT 125 X

On a Yamaha XT125 I'm thinking of changing the exhaust system, on the original ther is an offshoot ofrom the main downpipe which goes into the egine, on the new system this fitting is not there, what is it for or what does it do? Do I need to keep it open / closed? Thanks

My speedo clock is not working , the lights on the side are e.g for if it is in nuteral and ive checked the wireing and disconnected it for 5 min and put it back on but still nothing do you have any other ideas o what it could be ? thanks

2006 maxima se starts@idle ok but not much power 20 mpg


you may have a restricted catalytic converter plugging up exhaust flow and bogging down the engine. on the vq35 engine there are 2 precats located right under the exhaust manifold and it is then plumbed down the downpipe and into the main catalytic converter. i would remove the downpipe and inspect the the condition of the catalyst.

I have a jeep comm 2007 50,000 ml i keep getting code po13c i change my sensors twice already.the code come back after 3 mounth when i drive 60 ml per hr.


old post, no engine size stated. 3.7, 4.7 or 5.7?
Fed or Cal car.?
the codes are real, but guessing the parts bad, dont work.
there are tests you can do , that will find any DTC.
the FSM lists them.
NO other DTC, using a full scan tool .?
if not using a scan tool, you may be blind to others.
the dash codes, are limited. USE a REAL SCAN TOOL.

here are the sensor rules, Cal versas FED:
The CAL car has mini cats and works differently.

If equipped with a California Emission Package, 4 sensors are used: 2 upstream (referred to as 1/1 and 2/1) and 2 downstream (referred to as 1/2 and 2/2). With this emission package, the right upstream sensor (2/1) is located in the right exhaust downpipe just before the mini-catalytic converter. The left upstream sensor (1/1) is located in the left exhaust downpipe just before the mini-catalytic converter. The right downstream sensor (2/2) is located in the right exhaust downpipe just after the mini-catalytic converter, and before the main catalytic converter. The left downstream sensor (1/2) is located in the left exhaust downpipe just after the mini-catalytic converter, and before the main catalytic converter.

Check to make sure that you have no intake or exhaust leaks anywhere in your system. Once you have made sure the system is sealed you need to perform a plug chop and read your spark plugs to find out if you are running rich or lean in that particular throttle position and adjust the carburetor accordingly. Judging from the ramp range you stated, it sounds like your jet needle may be running rich. If the needle has different clip positions you may want to move the clip up (so the the needle sinks lower into the carb) to lean it out a bit on that circuit. You may also have to adjust the pilot screw as depending on the throttle position it may also be affecting this rev range. Another possibility is that you may have gone with a main jet that is too large. You stated that the new main jet is a 122 to compensate for an aftermarket exhaust. What was the original main jet size? Usually exhaust changes do not need much if any jetting changes. One to two sizes up is all you would need at the most.

Hi I have a yamaha xt 125 x and the bike is struggling to hit 45 mph I have devil exhaust but it happened wen I bought new wireing loom an put on the bike used to hit 80-85 mph any ideas what's wrong

2. Enrichener valve not seated or leaking.
3. Damaged or restricted fuel tank vent system.
4. Restricted fuel supply tract.
5. Dirty or damaged air cleaner element.
6. Plugged bowl vent or overflow.
7. Worn or damaged needle or needle jet.
8. Vacuum piston assembly malfunction.
9. Loose or plugged main jets or passages.
10. Improper float level.
11. Accelerator pumps inoperative.

The Oxygen Sensors (O2S) are attached to, and protrude into the vehicle exhaust system. Depending on the emission package, the vehicle may use a total of either 2 or 4 sensors.

Federal Emissions Package (4.0L and 4.7L engines):
Two sensors are used: upstream (referred to as 1/1) and downstream (referred to as 1/2). With this emission package, the upstream sensor (1/1) is located just before the main catalytic convertor. The downstream sensor (1/2) is located just after the main catalytic convertor.

Exhaust fittings for my xj650


as the main difference is the bore/stroke of engine.so the hight of the exhaust ports may be a bit higher so pipes may be a bit snug to the frame

Following replacing the downpipes I have found


changing exhaust pipes to a different than stock i.e.free flowing,system necessitates re-jetting carburetters. one hot cylinder indicates a too lean condition often caused by maladjusted float level or restriction of fuel flow to ,or within the carb of the affected cylinder.multi-carb setups must be 'calibrated' so they work in unison.
