How to remove the fork oil for kawasaki kmx 125

you cannot remove the oil ,these units are sealed for life and never need changing ,to remove the unit to fit new seals where available you remove the fork then put it in the vice and use a allen key down the middle to seperate the unit ,this is not for the novice as its quite complicated and requires a long 1/4 drive extension with the appropiate allen key socket on the end hence the vice to hold it still .You should not need to change the oil ever in this sort of unit

Front fork oil seal replacement

General intructions for most bikes:

Remove front wheel. Loosen fork tube clamps at top and bottom of triple clamps. Slide fork tubes out and remove. Access to seals is from top of tube. Remove cover and unscrew cap. Shop manual for specific bike is $24-$30. Will show detailed instructions.

Think i need fluid in forks of my balius H reg. 1987 i think!

I am not familiar with the Kawasaki Balius model, but nearly all front motorcycle forks have two small hex head fill plugs at the top of the forks. The fluid is usually a very pure mineral oil of some sort, but use only the fluid recommended in the owners manual. You can add fluid using a squeeze bottle or a large syringe, just make sure everything is spotlessly clean. If you continue to loose fluid, you will need to rebuild the forks. The job is fairly straightforward IF you can locate a rebuild kit. Once again, make sure everything is spotless or you will be doing it again soon. If you found this suggestion helpful, please don't forget to rate it.
