I assume that by "main jug gasket" you are talking about the cylinder base gasket. If so, to fix the leak you must pull the cylinder off to get to the gasket. This is a common problem with the Evolution engine.
This job will require that the fuel tank be removed. The rocker boxes, the head, and cylinder will have to be removed from the engine. To get the heads off, the exhaust system and induction system will have to come off as well. The old gaskets will have to be replace with new ones. One other thing that will have to be replaced is the cylinder studs. There are four studs on each cylinder. Due to the problems that Harley experienced with the leakage at the cylinder bases, they came out with a new set of studs that were designed to help with this situation. You will want to replace these studs as well and a new set of rings while you're there.
This is not an extremely difficult job but it is quite involved, much too involved for me to give you all the instructions via this forum. I would advise you to purchase a H-D service manual for your bike. There are also some special tools involved in doing this job. You must have an "inch pound" and a "foot pound" torque wrench to do the job properly. You'll also need a ring compressor and a cylinder hone.
Good Luck, Steve

30 psi in the front and 36 in the rear for single rider. Two up riding, raise the rear tire to 40 psi.
