Question about 2008 kawasaki Ninja 250R
Eventually won't even idle. Battery is dead but wouldn't even bump start. Might the problem be the dead battery/
If the battery is 2 years old or more then get a new battery. If one year old then be sure each cell has water enough to cover the top of the battery plates then hook up a 1amp or 2amp trickle charger overnight. I know the headline says the bike is a 2008, but how long was the bike on the showroom floor? The banner info can't always be trusted.
Once you get the bike going, Hook up a volt ohmmeter to the battery terminals. The reading should be 14+ volts when the engine is at about 1900 rpm. If the battery still runs down then I would get a new battery.
Please rate this solution. Thanks!
