Connect your motorcycle battery charger red lead to the positive terminal on the battery, and the black lead to the negative terminal. The procedure is no different than a car battery, you're just dealing with a much smaller unit so you need a smaller charger.

Charging a battery in a Suzuki Boulevard S40. Where is it and how do you get to it.

It is behind the cover (side opposite toolbox) underneath the carby/airbox manifold. It is then wrapped in a rubber/plastic cradle. Cheers.

Charging the battery

Turn off ignition. Disconnect battery terminal leads, ensure fluid levels are ok, connect charger leads. It is best if you remove battery so you can give it a clean and save your bike if something is amiss somewhere and it erupts or leaks when charging. Try the sites below for manuals or go to Wiki Q & A under S40 Boulevard, then wade thru' for links.

Battery charging do's and don’ts

ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING, SPARKS OR FLAMES AROUND CHARGING BATTERIES. Charging gives off hydrogen and oxygen, which explode if ignited.
