There is two wires hanging off my starting solenoid on my 1982 suzuki gs650gl where do they go?


starter solenoid has two wires...one from the switch on the handlebar , and one ground ...check for 12 v on the wire from the bar when pushing the switch...check for good ground on the other wire ...doesnt matter on the solenoid , its just a coil magnet...starter switch contacts bad is common failure

1. Damaged or restricted fuel tank venting system.
2. Loose float bowl screws.
3. Damaged float bowl o-ring.
4. improper fuel level in the float bowl.
5. Worn or dirty inlet valve or seat.
6. Damaged or leaking float assembly.
7. Particle contamination in inlet fitting cavity.

81 Suzuki GS650GL only runs on full choke


did you drain the gas and put in new? also you need a new fuel filter and you need to be sure you cleaned the carbs completly and put all the air and needles back in the same for each

In general are tune ups expensive at suzuki ??


Expect to pay about $200 at a dealer for a tune up. Most of that will be labor, checking your carburetors, air filter, fuel filter, and changing the oil. Call first, some places will not even work on older bikes anymore.
