For a standard clearance use .05 on the exhaust and .04 on the intake.

I over heated my 2007 kawasaki kx250f and now it wont start. what could be the problem?


There might be chi zed piston or broken rings or valve seal. Check all the three and spark too.

Just got my self a 2005 kx250f was runing fine one day and now i cant start it changed air filter spark plug and cleand the carb it back fies alot


The valves probably need adjusting. This should be done periodically with four stroke dirt bikes. When my bike's valves need adjusting, it kills me trying to kick it, and it backfires a lot.

Another symptom I have noticed for valves that need adjustment is when I pull in the clutch sometimes, the bike will stall.

2005 KX250F Idle problem. Carb has been cleaned...


try doing a idle drop procedure. this will help out alot.

No it is a different size carrier and ring set on the rim, the hub is probably larger on the rmz450 then the kx250f

intake valve clearance 0.10-0.15mm
exhaust valve clearance 0.17-0.22mm

Kx250f hard starting


odds are your your intake valve lash is tighter then spec or gone.
check that first
