Adjust the floater of your carburator give at least 2mm space on the top of it when you lift the floater so it will not overflow.

Leaking fuel out of the flexible tube on bottom of carb. does the tube go anywhere or is it just a drain? Mine is just hanging and dripping fuel. Never done it before. 1998 yamaha big bear

The float needle in the carb is either worn or sticking open allowing fuel to keep pouring into the float chamber. The pipe is an overflow. Sometimes a simple tap with a screwdriver can loosen a piece of dirt from the needle and it will work again. If not, take the carb off, remove the float bowl, pull the retaining pin and take out the float itself. The needle will then come out. Check the top tapered edge for signs of wear and if you find any then replace it with a new one. If not then spray the needle "socket" with carb cleaner, fit an in-line fuel filter and reassemble. Should now be operational again.

I have a 1998 yamaha warrior 350 that will sit and idol. But as soon as you give it gas it bogs down. what could be wrong with it?

Clutch switch behind clutch lever. Parking brake cable is attached to it. It cuts the revs if the parking brake is engaged to stop it from being reved when stoped.

That tube would be the overflow tube. Your carb float is sticking open and allowing fuel to flow in constantly. You need to take carb apart, clean needle valve, and inspect or replace carb float.

Fuel constantly leaks out of the overflow(?) tubes on bottom of carburetors Also headilght drains battery dead (when running!)

hello
sounds like two problems. one a possible charging system failure and a carb issue. the carb issue you are haveing is what is a result of a float valve sticking. they can stick or hang open for a couple reasons, either dirt getting into the fuel line, or buildup causeing the vavle to become sticky and not function as well, or a worn float valves wont seal as well. when the float valves dont function and regulate the fuel, the excess goes out the overflow. to correct this the carbs need removed and the float valves inspected for which fault you are encountering.
the headlight drain is most likely caused from a no charge condition. with the bike running above idle. you should be able to get a 13-15volt chargeing voltage while testing at the battery terminals. 90% of the time this is caused from a faulty rectifier/regulator.

Fuel leaks out what looks like a vent tube coming from the carbs

Hi ...... Sounds like float levels are set too high or debris in float chamber. Switch petrol off from/at tank and drain fuel from float bowls, if you use the cap off a paint can etc you can catch it and look at it to see if any water or debris present. Retighten drain screws, switch petrol back on and see if it still overflows.
