Clean the carburator and the air cleaner also clean your spark plug or instead replaced it with new one. denso irridium would be the best for it.

What to do when the 2000 Suzuki Intruder VL 1500 backfires

It sounds like the mixture or timing is off. I would post this question on the Intruder Alert site. This site is used by Intruder owners that have seen and fixed anything you may experience with you Suzuki. They were a great help with mine.

My gsx600f runs great on warm up but when its all warmed up it starts to backfire & then dies...i had carb. cleaned, replaced plugs also air cleaner & changed oil please whats next to check?

I would look at the intake boots, make sure there are seated and look for degradation of the rubber. If you can spray some carb cleaner around the intakes and listen for an increase in RPM's which will identify a leak. If it is backfiring through the exhaust upon decelleration it would indicate a lean condition, or if it backfires through the airfilter upon acceleration it would also indicate a lean condition. both of which could be an intake leak.

Engine backfire on decelleration Timing Checked

if is doing it thru the carb then the fuel mixture is too lean, if is in the exhaust (also called after-fire) the fuel mixture too rich.

2004 Suzuki VL1500 Intruder LC Motorcycle backfire

If they cant duplicate it your good.Usualy with backfiring i would make sure to eliminate any exhaust leaks. The dealer is inexperienced at solving compound problems,(sorry) not picking a fight, but sometimes cleaning is not goog enough,I went through this with a 1400 Intruder.several attempts were needed to get the two carbs level on the same line with each the floats would work properly together, then set fuel flow and the air flow through the ventouri in the carbs. Also i had to make these adjustments while level (not on side stand) The floats were very sencitve to needle valve to seat adjustment(bent to open or close some of the flow)

How to repair back firing?

Backfiring during deceleration is caused by even small leaks in the headpipe and/or rich carburetion. I suggest checking your pipe for leaks and look into your jetting.

Some occassional backfiring is typical.

I have a dr 650 that i just pulled out of the shed from last year season and it starts very hard now. I replaced the battery and did some investigating, ckecked fuel, spark and wiring. it has good...

It could be the module but I would take the carb off and clean it really well before I spent $250 or so for the module. Five dollars for a can of carb cleaner makes it worth the effort.
