What it could be wrong? I have a 2012 Velocity 150cc the spark plug does not have sparks, What can I do to fix it?

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and CDI box.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose, check for spark leakage in the dark.
6. Faulty ignition coil, pick up coil, trigger coil or CDI box testing needs to be checked with an ohmmeter at 70 degrees Fahrenheit
7. Faulty safety switches clutch, kickstand, neutral, off/on etc.
8. Faulty ignition switch.

Kymco like 200 i scooter wont start

You don't have to be tech savvy to troubleshoot the coil.
You'll need a multi-meter that reads resistance; which is measured in Ohms. Borrow one or buy one at Radio Shack, they're inexpensive.
You'll also need to know the primary and secondary resistance values of the coil; which is usually found in a repair manual- perhaps even in your owner's manual.
If you have neither, call the scooter dealer, make sure you tell him the year, make, and model of your scooter and that you need the primary and secondary resistance values to the coil on your scooter.
Once you have the multi-meter and the specs to the coil; it's time to set up and run some tests.
Locate the coil on your scooter- follow the two leads that come out of the coil until you come to the plastic connector. Disconnect the connector.
With your multi-meter set up to read resistance- take a reading across the two coil wires; if the reading is within the manufacturer's specs (plus or minus 20 %) the primary side is okay.

To check the secondary side of the coil, leave one of the tester's probe attached to one of the coil's wire; detach the spark plug wire from the spark plug and attach the other tester's probe into the spark plug wire's terminal's end; and read the meter; if it is within (again, plus or minus 20%) of the manuals specs, the secondary side of the coil is good.

Therefore the source of the problem is NOT the coil.

Jiggling the kill switch? Are you referring to checking for loose or damaged connections?

Other possibilities; worn or melted wire grounding out at the switch- bad stator; rectifier, or CDI box. How tech savvy are you and mechanically inclined? Because you will need a repair manual to guide you through the troubleshooting process.

Unless you know how to read schematics and use your multi-meter- it could become an involved process- you may just want to bring it in for servicing to the dealer

Hello,

You can try buy a new spark plug and replace it with the old one.
I had the same problem!
You just have to keep pulling until it catches!
Or maybe it's the carburetor that needs to be replaced!
I had the same problem wih my scooter.
I just changed the carburetor and it worked fine :)

250cc Baja bike won,t start, no fire from spark plug

Hi, Anonymous if you have a CKP sensor it needs compression to send the correct signal to the ICM/ECM, make sure both spark plugs are in heads and use a grounded third plug to check for spark or hold spark plug cable close to spark plug in the head. If still not getting spark the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Discharged battery, check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
3. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and module.
4. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose.
5. Faulty ignition coil or ignition / electronic module
6. Failed CKP, CMP, or BAS sensor.
7. Faulty ignition switch.
8. Security alarm failing to disarm needs reset

Hi, Pradhan_bina and the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel mixture too rich or enrichner left out too long.

Take your spark plug out of the cylinder, reconnect it to the ht lead and place it on to your frame if you see a spark then your coil is fine, try a new spark plug, if there is no spark get a new coil and plug.

Remember there is a 2t and a 4t version of the kymco vitality and the spark plugs are different.
