Good oils both, but there are other good oils from Shell, so its all up to you what you can get. Important is the W10 or W15

Good luck

Sounds like the Coolant is not full and has a air bubble. It is very important to have the system filled complete. That would be the first step.Good luck and have a great day.

I have a 97 jetta with 190k miles on it, is it worth putting more into it for a 2nd timing belt and cowel panel? How many miles can I expect out of this car?

This car will most likely start loosing compression from one or more valves at 220,000 - 250,000 miles requiring a valve job. I wouldn't recommend doing the timing belt until the car reaches 220,000 miles.

97 Chevy Suburban - Should I replace my transmission?

You are your own best judge on that, i got a 95 silverado with 160,000 mi. and would not think twice about driving and pulling anything across the country, but one thing i would recamend (if it dosent have one already) is an external trans. cooler.

Fuel problems 97 jimmy

Yeah, The fuel pump can go bad . The normal warranty on the pump is 12 months or 12,000 miles. This is very rare . I would check if the fuel pump had a lifetime warranty.

I would also check the ignition switch, and all the fuses to make sure the fuel pump is the failure.

Good Luck
