The stud is 8mm with 1.25 thread. the torque, according to the service manual, is 19.6 to 21.6 Nm or 2.0 to 2.2 Kgm or 14.5 to 15.9 lb/ft.. It all depends on your favorite language.

Please take a moment to rate this answer. Thanks silverfernwe!

What's the steps in replacing my 5.3 engine?

You would need to drop the oil pan to remove the con rod bolts to be able to remove the piston. Sounds like you have the heads off. You would then pull the piston out drop a new one in (will need a piston ring compression tool) reconnect and torque the con rod. Reinstall heads and other xompnenets. Not sure how long or even if it will run as there could be other damage.

I have a 1987 kx 125 just put topend gasket set in with piston and rings and coolent is getting in the case bottom end anyone know why plz help me

It sounds as if you have rebuilt the engine without torqueing the head bolts. Although, it could be that the cylinder base gasket has been torn during the rebuild. Try to re-tighten the head bolts to the correct settings first. Good luck.

Hello really should purchase the shop manual so you could see the illustrations and the step by step procedures on how to align timing marks and properly gap your piston rings. Plus so much more info that you are going to need to do the job right. Plus the manual has the torque specs. and the sequence---There is not enough room here to give you all the info u will need. Here is a link for the manual online, you might can find it a bit cheaper on Amazon. i hope this helps.

Im putting my 05 yz 125 top end back together my question was what is the torque specs on the head and on the jug

G'day. The torque specs for the 8mm head bolts is 18ft/lbs.the jug?(cylinder or barrell) is just tightened down even & firm, as there is no acess for a torque wrench.
OK. other things to note.
Clean the cylinder first in solvent(kero or fuel). Then in warm soapy water in a bucket. Dry-(compressed air is best for this-wear eye protection).once dry lubricate all power valves with oil.
Using a clean white rag-soak the end in your 2 stroke oil & wipe the inside of the cylinder surface untill the rag comes back clean(you will need to do it a couple of times-turn the rag over & do it again).Lube the new piston just before assembly-Also pour a little oil down the main bearing oil holes & over the big end too.
Other things to be sure of are-
Piston on the right way round-arrow to the exhaust.
Rings right way up. Some 2stroke dirtbike rings will only go one way up.Look CLOSELY at the ring ends-on the upper or lower surface there may be an etched dot or "T" or "N" or other marking. the mark goes facing up(on both rings unless single ring piston).
rings positioned with end gaps over the locating pins(the ring grooves have a pin in them to stop the ring turning)
Piston pin clips in correctly.
Powervalve moves freely.
Again-watch when you fit the cylinder-it can be tricky to keep the ring end gaps over the locating pins as you feed the cylinder over the piston.
Hope this all helps

Torque wrench settings for 97 hyundai lantra 1.8

They use throw away bolts. One use only, so don't reuse your old ones. You will need new ones. The smaller bolts 1st torque setting 22Ft/Lbs and the larger 26ft/lbs, the 2nd torque setting 60 degrees both bolt sizes and the 60 degrees for the third.

Loss of compression

Its PROBABLY just the rings, but ya gotta open it up to know for sure. If you are handy, and have a manual, you can do it, but it is tricky, especially getting the head bolts back right. The first time I did it, it took me a week, I had to consult my local shop, and I ended up blowin a head gasket cause I didnt torque the head bolts correctly
