Question about 1994 Suzuki GSX-R 750 WR
I just got a used 1996 GSXR 750. It was in San Antonio, Tx and i live in Portales, NM. I do not know the elevation change, but i am pretty sure we are possibly a thousand feet higher elevation? The bike ran great the first 2 days i drove it to work and around just a bit. Today, i went for a cruise and the bike started to "load up" when i came to a stop. I would just get started in first great at about 900 RPM's and when i would turn the throttle, the rpms wouldnt move and the bike would just cruise at about 3 miles an hour. No matter how little or more i turned the throttle it wouldnt change, just poppin at stayin under 1000 rpm. As soon as i completely let off the throttle (in neutral) The bike would die. I would pull over and try to re-start the bike. It would turn over and start, but rpms still wouldnt go over 1k. If i held the throttle at the lowest rpm possible to keep running, it would pop a few times then it would let me slowly bring the throttle around and would rev up like normal. As soon as i started moving again, it would pop and spit and the bike would **** forward a few times, then the rmps would get back to normal and i would leave like a rocket, and would run great til the next stop. Then do it all over again. It seemed the higher RPM's i would leave at in first, the better the bike would run. What do you suggest? Thank you!,
Andrew Hey gixxer help! I've got a 94' 750 gixxer and it's running a little rough. while starting out it seems to bog down, even while giving more throttle it does not give.. Then all of a sudden it just rips up the RPM's, then all works okay. I have a theory that it might be the carbs, but when reved up to high RPM's it seems to run strong. Another thing when I rev the throttle it pops on the down side.
One more thing I'm haveing a problem shifting from 1st to neutral and seem to be able to shift from 2nd to neutral, more often. also with this there are many times when I'll hold in the clutch and the bike will die like the clutch is not engaged... any help would be great and if you would like to talk in person it would help both ways. thanks guys!!
Check your spark plug if it burns ok. if it burns white its ok, also clean your carburator and the air cleaner after that start the engine again. if it does not change the problem is youre cdi unit.
