Ford au 11 ute factory gas blowing fuse under glove box causing car not to start

we have no cars like that in USA
but we do check all fuses. lacking the
glove box guide lost'
or have no service manual
check them all, is best.
if all good use a voltmeter at the horn or the horn relay./
a car this old the horn mount base rusty makes it dead.
common then. (lacks a ground wire that is good)

the problem was raised in the australian AU ford forum not so long ago
you cant bypass it
ripping out wires without knowing ... just causes more grief

have to use a scanner to re set system
or find which module of the smart shield has failed

You have blown a fuse in the fuse box area. Either under the dash driver side. In glove box or under the hood near the firewall or battery box

Check intake tube for leaks, spray aero start around intake tube & nr 1 manifold to head to check for vac / air leaks.

either turn ignition on and off four times or turn key on and depress gas pedal all the way to floor 4 times, 1 -2-3-4

Fuse Block (inside vehicle) fuse # 35 & 11
Power Distribution Box (under hood) fuse # 13

clean or replace the in cabin air filter located behind the glove box. Remove the screw that holds the limit rod the the glove box, then squeeze both sides of the glvoe box to remove from dash. The air filter is behind the removable rectangular panel. See owner's manual for complete directions. Replace the AC clutch relay, $11 from rockauto.com. The relay is located in the under hood fuse box next to the battery. It is labeled M/G CLT.

There are fuses on top off the headlight switch.

There is a button on the side off the switch housing you push to remove the knob and handle. Then remove switch from dash for access.

They are there because they did not blow very often.
