Most across the frame *** fours fire 1 - 2 - 4 - 3, & the ignition system works on the wasted spark principle.

Hi, I have a 1982 gsx 1100 Suzuki sitting on the bike from left to right what is the firing order if left coil is 1-3 & right coil is 2-4? thanks

Hi, Nigel "Fast Cat" says all the inline fours are the same in this (that I know of, maybe BMW does it differently, but every Japanese inline-four I ever saw was the same) sitting on the bike, from left to right, the cylinders are 1-4... there are two coils, and the one coil fires cyls 1 and 4 and the other fires cyls 2 and 3. you can swap 1 and 4 or 2 and 3, it makes no difference at all, but you can't put the 2-3 coil on cyls 1 or 4 and vice versa... you should be able to just take the long spark plug wires and put them on cyls 1 and 4 and the shortys go to cyls 2 and 3. Firing order is 1-4-2-3 For more information about your issue and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below. Good luck and have nice a day. What is the firing order?

Firing order is the sequence of power delivery of each cylinder in a multi-cylinder reciprocating engine. This is achieved by sparking of the spark plugs in a gasoline engine in the correct order, or by the sequence of fuel injection in a Diesel engine.

1984 pontiac bonnerville plug firing order photo

Hi,
I don't know your engine size, but the link below is a picture of the GM small block firing order with distributor.
The firing order, which should be cast into the intake manifold, for the chevy small block V8 is 1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2. The firing order is the numerical sequence in which the spark plugs are fired. The insertion position of each spark plug wire around the circumference of the distributor cap can be found according to a clock face. The insertion sequence determines the firing order. The firing order is followed clockwise around the distributor cap starting from the 6:30 position with the 6:30 position being the number one cylinder spark plug wire.

What is the firing order for a 2006 ford tauras

Sir,
There are two firing order sequences for the FORD V-6. It depends on which engine you have. The first is 1-4-2-5-3-6. The second is
1-4-2-3-5-6. The in-line six cylinder engines use: 1-5-3-6-2-4. You should look at the intake manifold to see which firing order your car uses. The firing order is normally stamped or embossed on the top of the intake manifold.
