Question about 1986 Yamaha XJ 700 X Maxim
My research has provided different (often conflicting) results about the value of this bike. Original owner, about 50k miles, never dropped, new tires and more. I need to sell it - any advice on where I can get reliable information about an asking price? Thank you for your help!
All you can really do is look around at what comparable bikes are selling for in your area. Look on Craigslist for a nearby city, check your local cycle trader (cycletrader.com), stop by some dealers. The wide variety of condition and relatively small market for motorcycles makes it difficult to give a concrete value. Some bikes get driven 10k+ miles a year, others less than 1k. But a well cared for bike driven often is likely to be in better shape than one that sat in the garage untouched for ten years.
