Check the spark plugs better replace them make sure they are to the specs of the engine of yr bike.
You may have to clean the carbs too!

Good luck.

Hi, Stefan and the usual suspects are:

13. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
14. Loose or corroded wire connection at the coil or plug between ignition sensor and ECM module.
15. Spark plug cables in bad condition and shorting check for spark leakage in the dark, cable connections loose, or connected to the wrong cylinders.

Are you giving it any throttle when you try to start it, yu shouldnt, keep throttel completely closed when using hte choke or you will flood the engine

Bike is totally choked

You mean flooded (with too much gas)?

You said the carbs were cleaned.
Did it work ok after that, or is that when the problem started?
Do you use the choke to start it when cold? When warm/hot? not at all because you figure its getting too much gas as it is?

My rmz 250 wont start on the first kick when the choke is on but when the engine is on and hot it starts first kick with no choke?????????

It takes a little suction for the gas to reach the cylinder from the carb. When it is hot and on, the gas is readily available. So a kick or two, when cold starting is not abnormal. Alternatively, kick twice with the key in off position. Then turn the key on and kick, the engine will start instantly. Idea is the make the gas reach the inlet.

Suzuki GS650G Katana Has trouble starting in cold weather

Make sure choke is closing all the way. And check fuel filter to make sure there is enough flow. Also some suzukis had cold weather limiter knobs on carb you slid in or out if temp was above or below 50

My bike won't start, perhaps a dead battery?

did it restart when the engine was cold if so you may have got dirty fuel in your tank

Hot starter

4 stroke engines require a leaner than normal fuel/air mixture to start when hot. The cold start choke allows more fuel into the mix. The hot start choke allows more air into the mix.
