This could be caused by a defective kill switch. With the lights on operate the kill switch. Do the lights dim slightly? If they don't the kil switch is probably at fault. If not, I don't know what it could be!

Indica 1.4 not firing cylinder number 3. What's e fault wen it's idle they is check engine light but wen Its moving it goes off

Need to know if the vehicle has an ECU which should record any fault - a simple test would check spark plug and quality of spark by earthing the plug to the engine - if its ignition related (ht lead) there will be no spark without and with spark plug ==== HT leads can go high resistance so may not work at idle but improve with increased engine speed. So do the simple test using insulated tools pliers/screwdrivers

Why is there no spark on the plug?

Two things spring to mind Pamela.

Immobilizer? Are there any warning lights on the dashboard?

Coil pack faulty. Some vehicles have one coil and a distributor. Some have a coil pack with individual coils that are electronically fired. To test a coil, you disconnect the positive connection, and leave the ground connection. Attach a wire to the battery and touch the positive connection on the coil. When you RELEASE the positive wire, the coil should spark to the High Tension lead to the plug. You can put one of your old plugs on the end of the HT lead and hold it to a part of the car that is earthed/grounded.

Switch replacement

There should only be 2 cables that attach to the switch. Basically the switch act as earth to ground when the engine is turned off. To see if it works right, make sure the switch is in the ON position, remove the spark plug and connect it to the HT lead, earth the spark plug on the top of the cylinder and pull the engine over. If the spark plug sparks then the switch is 50% working. Turn to the OFF position and retry. if there is no spark then the switch is functioning correctly.

No power to the spark plugs

Check first the wire connections to your ignition unit. Are they properly plugged? If all wires are good, try to measure the voltage from one of the wires to the ignition unit while the ignition key is in "on" position. If there's no voltage, have someone check your ECM. If there's a good voltage reading, try replacing your ignition unit with a good one.

Cant get a spark from ht leads on cb250 motor bike

Be CERTAIN the battery is good. Are all fuses good? Try brand new spark plugs. Disconnect the kill switch on the handle bar. Check the side stand kill switch for proper operation. Have the shop check the CDI ignition.

Please rate this solution. Thanks!

Im not getting any spark

What was the problem that caused you to fit the distributor? If it was an attempt to fix the problem that you still have, then you need to work backwards from the distributor. Remove the central HT lead that feeds to the distributor from the coil, hold it a couple of millimeters from the egnine block and turn the engine over, do you see a spark there? If you do the didtributor is the issue, if you don't it is probably fine and the problem is further back.
Next, try a known good HT lead and connect this to the coil and repeat the step above. If no spark then the coil is not operating. At this stage, I have to admit that I don't know if the celica has a separate coil??? If it does then there will be 2 wires to it, one to earth and the other being fed a pulse of positive power. Remove the positive feed, connect a wire to the terminal and holding the HT lead near to the block again, replicate the power pulse by tapping the other end of your wire on the positive terminal of the battery. If you get a spark, then it is the feed that is powering up the coil. Of you don't then you have a dead coil and it will need changing.
